Alabama Bronco Club

The group for Alabama Bronco enthusiasts looking to meet and discuss everything Bronco, off-road, and all else that is good.

Hey Guys! I work in Birmingham and live in Chelsea. I have wanted a Bronco ever since the first prototype pictures were put out more than 7 years ago on FB. My late husband and I use to trail ride in his Rubicon and search off-road geocaches. He traded his jeep in on a F150 FX4 and I still have it. He was looking forward to buying a Bronco, so it is for him as much as for me. I reserved an Outer Banks 4 door on the 16th, but leaning now towards a Black Diamond or Badlands - just not sure if I want 2 door or 4 door (if they will let me change). Looking forward to some new adventures next year!

I'm sorry for your loss and I know that Bronco is going to be special for you. I live right down the road and will be looking for offroading pointers from someone with some experience.

MoJoJo....welcome to the Bronco family and group! What a great way to remember your late husband by knowing he will be with you each time you're wheeling the new Bronco!
Looking forward to sharing the adventures with you and the AL Bronco Gang here!

I’m close to you JoJo. What dealer did you get?

Ernest McCarty - who did you reserve with?
Carrotop79
I was given Adamson Ford. Called and talked with sales manager and he said yes to X Plan (once it comes out) and no to ADM. He did mention a possible $500 deposit but wasn’t sure.

Glad to hear this about Adamson as that is where my reservations are..

I thought about changing to Adamson (because I do work downtown), but I do not want to get my place out of line. I am number 40 for out of 80 at Ernest McCarty. Hoping at least half the people never go thru with the reservation. Plus it is in Shelby County and I live in Shelby County also

Thoughts on the Granger Ford? Cheap flight from here, or drive?
Major_Bullsteak
@Carrotop79 I have thought about it. But I don't want to pull into my driveway on day 1 with 900 miles on the odometer.

It might be months later before I get the Bronco if I changed dealers. I do not want to take that risk.

@MoJoJo You can change dealers without it affecting your place in line as long as you do it by Oct. 31st. Also, your reservation number determines how quick (or how slow) you will get your vehicle, not what place in line you are at a dealer.
Carrotop79
That doesn’t matter from the readings I have done. You don’t lose your spot in line if you change dealers. You are allowed one change I believe.

I've got the Badlands reserved and now with the pricing surveys released, I'd definitely go Badlands over Black Diamind to get as close to Sasquatch without having to upgrade to an automatic. Looking forward to getting to know you and keep in touch for a 2021 Alabama Bronco Meet and trail ride

For those that reserved with Woody Anderson Ford...which one did you use, the one on Hughes Road in Madison or the the one on Jordan Lane in Huntsville? If a Group buy is honored will it be for both location or just one? I am considering swapping from my current dealer McClary in Athens. The only reason I choose them is that they are closer to my home. Being new to the area, I have no previous contact with dealers in the area.

Thank is advance.

The one on Hughes is used cars and a non-warranty service location only. Do you know if McClary is offering any deals, no mark-up, x-plan, etc?

@AH64DB2 Thank you for the information...This is the answer I was given from the POC there on 23 July...."No ADM we will not mark it up like a lot of dealers are doing but it will be MSRP only. "
Anthony9858
Woody anderson ford is no mark up, and they will accept x plan. I was also told free bumper to bumper warranty with purchase.
Major_Bullsteak
