Hey everyone. I live in Arvada and am excited to be getting my Bronco this month! I cannot wait! My kids are pretty excited to. Looking for a good trail to take the kids that’s pretty close by but will expose them to the fun of off-roading. I’m thinking Bunce School Road in Lyons. Any other recommendations?

Bunce school is ok, but terrible with ATV rentals. Red Feathers area is really good and fun, look around deadman road, quite a few trails up there. Worth the drive.

I recommend purchasing Charles Wells and Matt Peterson's Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails, FunTreks, fourth edition book. They also have a book of Northern Colorado trails. I have both and they will be in my Bronco all the time.
All trails are marked as either easy, moderate, or difficult with short description of each. You will be glad you did.

@CNElliott agree! I bought the books soon after reserving last year and have several trails bookmaker ready to try.

My friend took me and my 04 xterra XE up to Chinns lake on Sunday and it was moderate easy, and big reward at the end with the views, could be a good one 🙂
