Has anyone in here had experience with Corwin Ford in Reno?
Good, bad, ugly? Were you smarter than me and avoided them?

Since Corwin was Jones Ford West that was horrible and going through a buyout by Corwin 18 month ago I was setup with my reservation at Capitol Ford in Carson that seems to be good so far considering I converted to an order but have not configured the Wildtrak yet since I cannot stand the interior.
I also cannot take the soft top and wanted the painted top so probably out to 2023 if they let me...
Also, throw into the mix that when I looked at the F150 Raptor 18 months ago, the salesman told me to add on $20K as ADM, told them jump in a lake...

Weird. I've heard nothing but positive about Corwin. Mine is scheduled to arrive to them 11/14-11/20 so we shall see. As far as Capitol Ford goes I wouldn't touch them. Have had nothing but expensive and bad service from them with the F350 we git back in 2015. Fight every warranty issue and service is a nightmare. In fact just today I saw a Big Bend parked on the lot right in front of Capitol. Stopped in to just take a peak and looked at it for 10 minutes. Not one person came out to inquire if I was interested. Now add in that BB had a sticker of $38k and change plus a dealer markup of $19,500 for a total of $58 K. Disgusting.

@pakrat oh damn! Yeah I didn’t have an issue with Corwin (other than REALLY bad communication) until I found out they put my order in for a completely different build (one that I can’t even accept because I can’t drive a manual) & I produced evidence showing so & they haven’t changed it or bothered to contact me back. I’ll admit I was pretty pissed because if I hadn’t found out on accident they would’ve ordered this & I would’ve waited all this time to show up to a vehicle I can’t have. & they’ve been marking them all up $10k.

Well I'm afraid to say it but you are not alone. I actually placed a second reservation with them. My first was a very early one on 7/14/20 about 12 hrs. after they opened reservations. Met with Corwin in person and spec'd it exactly how I wanted when order banks opened up. The second one was reserved in this past July '21 because of all the mess with the hardtops and I thought maybe it would be better to order a 2022 Bronco. They did the same and converted it into an order. I called and made sure the order was placed in a do not produce code 99. It is still in the system holding my place for what I do not know.

Now on to Capitol Ford in Carson City. My wife placed an early reservation just ahead of my reservation at Corwin on 7/14/20. Ford automatically selected Capitol because it is geographically a few miles closer that Corwin is to us. I told her my issues with Capitol and after meeting with Corwin and how fast they were to reach out to us to convert our reservation to an order she called Capitol and cancelled her reservation. Unbeknownst to us, Capitol never cancelled her reservation and converted it to an order. We only found out through the automated Ford updates you get when you place an order because they can't change the email associated with the order. Just so they could get extra stock to sell and have an early reservation priority for their lot. No big deal really except it bumps others who placed orders with Capitol further back down the line and we know how hard it is to get a Bronco right now. Also, you should see how many employees Broncos are sitting outside Capitol Ford just putting customers orders that much further back. None of the dealers are perfect.

@pakrat Yeah I figured. I actually called Susanville too because they have the build I wanted as a mannequin (AMB was my color choice

) & the guy took my name down. Said he can’t sell them until after 6 months. But that’s probably still faster than any other route at this point & it would be the color I actually want.
