Hope everyone had great holidays. Want to drop in a quick little review update. I picked up my 4dr Black Diamond 2.7 Mid from @NayNay on October 16 and just hit 6000 miles on our way back from Florida on NYE. This was the most comfortable I’ve ever been in a vehicle over a long period of time and I drove 18 of the 20 hours down and all of the way back. I was amazed how easily our family of 4 was able to fit our stuff including Xmas presents and clothes for two week without losing visibility out the back window (cargo carrier cheat code).

I had a rooftop cargo carrier and the Yakima awning and the wind noise was noticeably louder at lower speeds than the normal 65+ where the noise gets loud without the racks. Those (and the higher than normal speed) dropped our mileage from 20.3 down to 18.1. It’s working it’s way back up now that they’re off though. We cruised between 79-84 the majority of time and it was still super smooth and had enough acceleration if/when I needed to pass someone quickly cause a kid had to go potty right now!

This thing is still perfect for us and we may consider getting a second in a year or two since my wife basically took this one after a deer sent her SUV to the shop for 2 months (ran into her car on our way home from Leonardtown in October) and she loves the way it rides and it works for the kids and all their messes.

I’m happy I got the factory roof rack but it’s a huge pain to take on and off if you want the flexibility to go topless. I’ll probably remove it when it warms up and see if I can design an easily removable rack for when the top is off to put SUP boards and kayaks on.

Hope everyone still has a lot of excitement and any of you that are waiting gets your rig soon.

Next on the list is to hit an off road place and hopefully meet up with forum members and learn more about that aspect.

Thanks, sounds like you are getting your use out of the Bronco. I have many of the same impressions and I have 5600 miles. I am blessed to live very near some great trails (Eglin AFB) and it performs flawlessly, even in stock OBX form. Lastly, I whole-heartedly agree with you about the ease with which the Bronco performs on road trips. It has become our family's road trip vehicle of choice and we love it. Enjoy!
