Start planning it. A January 13-14ish run either near Devil's Den or Byrds.

Get those mods going now and start testing in January. Make tentative plans for Jan 13-14 timeframe. It's a great time to camp (no bugs or snakes) if anyone wants to do an overnight and test out your camp gear.

Sounds like a plan! Not sure if I'll camp... I'll let you know closer to the date.

I might be in...we need a warm, dry January weekend. Lol

Cold and wet can be fun too.

Plan for now is to set up camp Friday afternoon on Cove Creek , then an evening trail, finishing up after dark on a trail we've run a few times. Saturday morning doing some new trail near Devils Den.

Deer season is over, so checked the campsite and ran the trail for a night run. Very tight, but easy trail for daytime but should be a little challenging at night. Cleaned up a few areas with the chainsaw.

Checked out a few other trails in the area but didn’t do anything to bad since I was solo and out of cell range. Trails appear to be in good shape. They did log part of a favorite trail this fall which is a bummer. Still has the cool water crossings though.

I plan to get out Saturday, but not a lot of interest.

I’m planning on doing two short trails Saturday. One has several water crossings and the other is mostly tight dry rocky trail. Let me know if you want to meet up. Hoping to get out around 10AMish and be out about 4-5 hours.

Another great day, plus I wasn’t the one getting pulled out of the mud this time.

Maybe I’ll ask for any thoughts before plunging on in to the mud next time…
