I saw the post the other week. I would check the local weather and caution against going to this. The post somewhat undersells the difficulty of the trail IMHO, especially this time of year.

If there are frozen conditions and there is ice, there are places where you are going to have a tough time. You may get up the obstacle but could slide sideways into rocks or trees. In some places you risk sliding off the side of the trail. There will also be inexperienced people in this group, and probably broncos that are not well enough equipped to get up even under good conditions. This will likely lead to a lot of headache and traffic jams behind whatever incidents occur.

If you do go, you'll want rock rails and 33s, probably skid plates too. Ive seen the trail done without lockers but that was in summer.

I look forward to heading out with that group sometime, but will pass on this one even though I love that trail.

@CARdiac I've gone up union springs to flagpole twice in my badlands and down it once, its a blast. We should get a LTF bronco group together for a ride sometime this spring.
