Any recommendations on a radio I should get for the next meet-up?

While not everyone uses a radio since we're close together, I use the Wouxun KG-935G GRMS radio. Keep it just incase for out of state trails. The only trick is navigating the FCC website to get your GRMS license.

@userdude Twice I should have put GMRS lol... but anyway, GMRS you have to have a license. Which is basically filling out an online form and paying $35 which lasts 10 years. (used to be $70 when I paid) I doubt you would actually need license unless you used a repeater, in which case you may have to ask the owner for permission and many times you have to use your license as ID. Just going to Bridgeport wouldn't require hitting a repeater....

@Razorback thank you for the info. Wasn't sure if you all were chatting on the radio the whole time or just using it for emergencies. Sounds like most groups use radios so I'll probably get one.
