This is sort of a non-Bronco post but I wanted to reach out to everyone here that lives or visits WV because my family is looking for a winter trip this upcoming January. Any recommendations for places to visit during the winter months in WV? We aren’t looking to do any skiing but want an area to just explore (parks/national forests/small towns/etc). How is Elkins and/or Canaan Valley areas? Any other recommendations? I live in MD and don’t mind a drive. Also would love a place to drive the Bronco around on the snow/winter. Are the parks open? Thanks!

I grew up near Elkins, it's a nice little town with options for food and housing. I may be biased, but check out the NRAO in Green Bank, the coal railroad in Cass, and the resorts at Snowshoe/Silver Creek. There are a lot of great fire roads to explore, like rattle snake trail where I learned to drive in middle school

There's no concept of a park being open out here haha, it's just miles of national forest where you can explore as you please.
