Upcoming Events
We have some great events coming up for HRBC! I want to share them with you all. Some include some local meets but we also have an event coming up in NC that would be awesome to show up to!

Bayside Harley-Davidson's Horses and Harleys Event
On June 15th from 12pm-5pm
there will be an event going on at Bayside Harley-Davidson. We've got exclusive parking privileges there and, according to their flyer there will be raffles and live music. In addition to that, Bubba's 33 will be providing food. After the event, we can cruise over to Bubba's 33 (15 minutes away) and have dinner. They have great food there for those that have never been before!

Peninsula Bronco Meet Up at Tradition Brewery
On the same day as the Bayside Harley event
, there is another event happening at Tradition Brewery in Newport News. This is a great opportunity for those that live on that side of the water to meet up and grab a drink with you fellow Bronco folks! It begins at 2pm and has been coordinated by one of our members on the Facebook group. So if you live nearby, stop in and see Gary and have a beer!

NC Bronco Club Sticker Events - Uwharrie National Forest
I love the idea that NC Bronco Club is starting up. They're doing "Sticker Events" which means that a unique sticker will be available at each event they hold this year. The only way to get one is by attending the events. This will be kind of like a stamp in a passport. At the end of the year, they're going to do a "Sticker Bingo" and those who have attended the most events will be most likely to win a grand prize.
The first event for this Sticker Event is at Uwharrie National Forest. There they will be having trail rides in the forest on three different trails: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. This is a great opportunity for those who are new to off-roading! This would be the best way to get some experience with fantastic knowledge and guidance!!

**If I can go I will let people know, also I will be on the intermediate trail (unless I buy a spare inner tie rod then I might consider the advanced).**

Here is their write-up for the event:

We will have three groups leaving from the Hunt Camp Grounds starting at 10:00 AM, you must have a pass and be aired down. You can get a day pass or season pass at Eldorado Outpost. (https://maps.app.goo.gl/c4mUdiPSoi29WKBHA) If you need help airing down, don't be afraid to ask!
Most of us have GMRS radios, if you have a handhelds bring them.

Matt Ford will be leading the advanced group. They will be leaving at 10. Body damage is possible and you might want to have a spare inner tie rod for the front side of Daniel. Don't let this freak you out, Matt is a great ground guide.

David Broadus will be leading our intermittent group at 10:15.

Abby Angus and Katie Pennington will take out the beginners at 10:30. Abby and I have all the recovery gear but we won't need it. We will be giving a short "class" of this ride before we head out.
We plan on meeting up after at a local restaurant to finish the day off. More details to come.

First time Offroad or first time at Uwharrie? Uwharrie specifics include but at not limited to: If it doesn’t rain a few days prior then plan on it being apocolyptically dusty. If you don’t want a sand box for an interior I’d plan doors on/top on etc in that event. Also - you’ll need to get a day pass or yearly pass at the outpost (where we’re meeting) for $5/day or $30/yr. I’d air down for comfort and grip.. depending on what your tire setup is this could be anything from 10 to 25 psi. If you don’t have a compressor to air back up I’m 1000% sure someone with you/us will let you borrow one! Ask/pay attention to those around that day for specific advice on your tire pressure. Stay out of the soup Bowl unless you want to be cleaning rancid cow-patty style mud out of every crevice for months.. IYKYK. Not sure what your vehicle is set up with but don’t drive around with lockers engaged all day.. you’ll roach your differentials. 4H should just about cover you the whole day especially if you’re sticking to the easier stuff. Stick with a group that plans on keeping it mellow but challenge yourself a little to make it more fun and enjoy the day! Bring plenty of snacks and water and have a good amount of fuel in the tank. Having a GMRS radio is pretty handy to communicate between everybody.. if you don’t have one don’t sweat, most carry a couple extra handhelds I’m sure you could borrow. And also - Having fun is the most important tip. (Info provided by Bryan Glover)
