Long time no see, huh?
Well, as you know, school has been dragging me down hard lately!! My husband also started school so we're getting beaten up with homework and working full time. I don't get on here as much as I used to.
I do want to bring up some events we've got going on though so you're all aware of the happenings around the area. I don't make it to many events, but I encourage you all to get out there if you can!! I will be at a few.
Tidewater Broncos is hosting their 17th annual Carova Beach Clean Up on October 12th at 9am. Eastern Offroad is providing lunch for everyone so please come out and clean up the beautiful beaches while we cruise on the sand. This helps keep them clean and helps the wild horse population down there as well! I WILL be at this event.
Bubba's 33 on Portsmouth Blvd in Chesapeake is hosting a Bronco/Jeep Trunk or Treat for the kiddos in October (I do not know the dates yet). They will have bounce houses and face painting and a line up of the vehicles to pass out candy to the trick or treaters! I will try to make it to this event!
October 18th-20th is the Maryland Bronco Beach Bash in Ocean City! which was said to be a lot of fun! They have a beach course and have tons of vendors as well. I know some of you made it there last year and it would be awesome to have some HRBC folks take the trek up there again!
October 18th-19th is also the Hatfield McCoy Bronco vs. Jeep Invasion in the Matewan Historic District in West Virginia. There will be a car show and a trail ride. Head on up to the mountains of WV if you're interested!
Also, on October 18th-20th is the "SEND IT" at Uhwarrie Off-Road Event. The description is as follows: "Not for the faint of heart, all of Uwharrie will be explored. Front ledge, front side of Daniel included. Campin’, drinkin‘, good vibes… what more do you need." This will include trail riding throughout Uhwarrie which also includes taking a stab at the Daniel trail which is for those who really want to push the limits. IF I GO TO AN EVENT THIS WEEKEND, IT WILL BE THIS ONE. I am more of a rock crawler/mountainous off-roader, so I would like to get out there to this event pending the upgrades I am trying to find time to get done (1.5" lift and beefed-up tie rods). This will also be a camping event so bust out the coolers and tents. There will likely be some night riding too (which reminds me to wire those darn pod lights!). I encourage people to come to this one just because I am biased on mountain wheeling, and it was a great time at the last event up there.
We're looking into doing the Virginia Beach Veteran's Day Parade. Nothing solid yet, but an idea for the club to show our patriotic colors and support veterans as many of us are veterans ourselves! I would love to have some old school and new school broncos flying the USA colors and showing out for this! More to follow....
The Tidewater Broncos also have 10 spots for the Christmas Parade so if you want to dress up the Broncos with lights and holiday cheer, let me know or a Tidewater Broncos Representative know. I would love to get us into some parades!
