I promised to share quotes from a paint shop for the MIC top.
My plan is to have the top "dipped" which is a plastidip type product. It's a rubbery-like spray that protects your surface while giving a different look depending on the color you choose. And it's easily removable when you want to change up the look. The texture of the MIC top will still be visible.
Plastidip (low end product, more rubbery feel)
-Top $400; grille $129
Proline (better durability and smoother feel product)
-Top $800; (don't remember grille quote)
Autoflex (feels just like clear coat and protects paint from scratches)
- Body of vehicle, minus top & grille $3500
I recommend these products over a vinyl wrap. Vinyl can leave a residue and will be a more expensive installation. You can check out dipyourcar.com for the products and follow @Fonzie on IG. I've been following these products for years and I use plastidip for craft projects
