My wife and I are headed to Merus Adventure Park from March 15 to 17. Is anyone else going to be there? If anyone has recommendations, please let me know as well.

Unfortunately, we have plans that weekend. We are also south of Houston, so it is a drive for us. Merus has been on my bucket list since they opened, so I am really looking forward to this trip. Any recommendations would be helpful. I wish I had more time to prepare, as I am about to move to 35s on the Badlands, but I did not have time before this trip. I had been waiting for the KOs to wear down, as they are good tires.

You have a BL non-Sas? I would suggest a blue ride, since they're more interesting, if you have some off roading experience. The green's are really just a park tour, which is cool if you haven't been there but isn't really off roading. But be careful: Merus can bite. They have walkies to rent, but I would say get one (GSMR). Remember you need a vehicle fire extinguisher. If there's mud in the ride into the park, that doesn't mean there's mud in the canyon. It also can dry out fast.

I like to stay in Amarillo but they have decent rough accommodations and you can camp as well, etc. There's also Claude (closest) and Canyon, which is a cool little town but as far as Amarillo (which isn't that nice) since you have to go around the canyon. There isn't a lot near the park. If you want 91/93 octane, I don't think Claude has it.

Get there early for ride out (by 8:30/9) so you can get in a good group. There's also locals that will go out. I haven't been there since 2023, I think they've added some new stuff.

Also, Palo Duro Canyon is down the road, and Caprock Canyons State Park is on the way. The latter has buffalo.

Thank you. We have a room in Amarillo and I have a GRMS in the Bronco and will bring a handheld as well.

Blue Sky has good burgers and a decent beer selection right off I-40 in Amarillo.
