Got my "7-Days Before" email from Ford about the Off-Roadeo next week at Horseshoe Bay! Very excited to go, even though I'm going alone. Hopefully will meet some really great people! Is anyone else planning on being there 6/28 and 6/29??

We were planning on my wife also going, but with kids activities we decided to divide and conquer, so I'll be there alone as well. Sorry to see that I'll miss you by one day. I'm going to be there 7/30 & 7/31. I hope you enjoy it!

Can you share what is all in the email? I won't be staying at the hotel and want to know where I am supposed to meet up at? The Hotel or the event site?

Same! I'm in Georgetown, so it's really not that bad of a drive out there.

This is the first time I've ever been asked to pony up for insurance for a test drive. I've ragged far more expensive rides offroad and on the track. It seems a bit weird to me. What's different about this event that they need us to cover what every other manufacturer takes responsibility for?
TriggerTX

I talked to my insurance agent and they said that they wouldn't cover me for an 'offroad' event. I still think it's complete bullshit that Ford charges what they are (yes, it's refundable on purchase) and then hit you up to cover insurance that still has a $3500 deductible. I've talked to friends at a couple manufacturers that host customer drives like this and they've never heard of such a thing. This camel's back is starting to get pretty tired...
