May is quickly approaching. Calling all NWA folks and anyone else who wants to drive up. We can run some more trails in the Devils Den area again or head down to lake Ft Smith and hit a few trails there and end up at White Rock Mountain.

My May is pretty busy between a trip to Idaho, a daughter graduating med school, and working every other weekend.

Looks like for me, available dates will be May 16-18 or May 30-June 1.

Anyone have any preferences or other places you'd like to go? Even different dates that I can't make are fine too. Just wanting to get another group together in May for an afternoon of wheelin.

The top and doors went back on today, as well as a tire rotation and oil change for the trip out to Idaho. First road trip in the Bronco, so I'm pretty excited.

And I thought my road trip to MOAB was long. Safe travels!

I usually get in one or two trips a year in the 4-5K mile range. I will get to Idaho one day after they unlock the forest service road gates, so hopefully will have the high country to myself. Should still be lots of snow.

This is the road we’ll be on, but several weeks earlier than the last trip to the area. Spent a week in the backcountry solo and never saw another person. Hoping there will be less green up and more snow.

May 17th (possibly 18th) would be perfect for me.

May 17th is doable for me. @Razorbak86 how is it for you? I know Tuesdays aren't the best for you and don't want to interfere with the paycheck. The 18th would work for me as well. As it gets a little closer we can see what the weather is like.

I will be out of contact from May 1-8. No cell phone coverage where I'm going. If y'all decide a different date for May is better that's OK too.

I won't be able to do any weekday trips during May. I already have a lot of items scheduled at work.

Ok, for now May 17, a Tuesday. I’ll leave it to you on what y’all want to do. Trails we know or something new. Lunch and ride, or a late breakfast somewhere and an earlier ride, or just meet up at a central spot. I’ll be leaving this Saturday for Idaho, so I won’t be on here much until May 9th.

The only preference I have is trails that are roomy that won’t scratch the sides of my Bronco.

Most of the trails in the Cove Creek area have been true Jeep trails, which are tight. Some worse than others. One in particular I wouldn't take anyone down unless they were committed to a certain level of pinstriping. We did try to keep @Ragtop1962 out of the thick stuff as best we could. I'm not sure how his Bronco faired with scratches. I think the trails around Ft. Smith lake are a little more open, but some will still have their moments. We definitely want to stay within your comfort zone on what you want to do.

Still planning May 17 for all who want to go. Currently riding in the back seat in Wyoming in 60+ mph gusts. Not much fun.
Idaho was great. Way too much snow. MIC top sucks.

2dr is plenty big for 3 people on a 9 day trip with gear plus extras for 5 days in the backcountry.
