Took about 5 /6 hours to get it all together….pretty solid.

Looks great. Can you provide some insight as to why you decided on the Gobi rack in lieu of just a roof rack considering you have a hardtop? I have a soft top and have been looking at a couple options to add a roof rack so that I can eventually add a RTT.

thanks...sure....I'm also looking to add a rooftop tent, and the ability to climb up, take a seat or scout etc with the solid feel was a player. And for kicks I do like the cagey safari look with the ladder. On the hardtop, the front panels can still be removed, don't think the back shell can. But after the install and all the wrenching, this rack will be on for good.
