This Weekend (Feb 3 and 4) Runs - 4 to choose from.... (More details in the Arizona Broncos Facebook Group)
We are going to be hosting 2 newbie and 2 newbie/alum runs this weekend. Here's the schedule and meetup spot.
Meet at the "Keyhole" staging area for Sycamore Creek (This is at the intersection of Bush Highway and Highway 87 (Beeline Highway) https://maps.app.goo.gl/zLr48oy1WzJbwU9v5
Coordinates are 33°37'43.8"N 111°33'38.5"W
The "Alumni" Run will start at 9:30AM
The "Newbie" Run will start at 10:00AM
The two groups will meet up at about the halfway point of the trail and go out together.
A little explanation on these runs.
The Alumni run is for those who have either done our Ruby's Newbies Run before or do not need any significant beginner education (You've been off road in your Bronco a handful of times). This group will take the same trail as the newbies. There is one obstacle that you will have spotting help with regardless.
The Newbies run is a run that we host at least once a quarter. It is geared towards the true beginner which we see as someone who has never been off-road in their Bronco before and/or someone who has never ever been off-road before. We offer some additional instruction along the way on both general off-road driving and etiquette, what a spotter is, some talk about gear we use, and specific instruction on the Bronco itself.
We will have help there to air down before the trail and air up afterwards.
Make sure and bring a GMRS/FRS radio along with you as we will be on channel 7 (462.7125). If you do not have a radio we usually have loaners. If you have a brand new radio, watch a video on how to use it. It will make your life much easier!
Hope to see some of you out there.
