Hey HRBC!

Yesterday we had the HRBC Poker Run and wow, I was so happy to see everyone there! Old friends and new, this was the pinnacle of my year! I had so much help, that was the only way that this event could have been successful. Between the donors, the sponsors, the volunteers, and the participants, I seriously cannot thank you enough for all the support you showed at the event.

We had 32 Broncos show up and we had very few hiccups thankfully. I'd consider that a success. I messed up with the times for the Garage Brewery being available, but the show went on without many other hiccups. Windy City Pizza offered free pizza to everyone coming through which was so generous of them. I'd like to do a Bronco Pizza Night there sometime to show appreciation.
The brunch at Bubba's 33 was delicious. I wasn't able to eat until everyone left for the run but it was great! They're donating a portion of their sales to the poker run too.

The final total for money raised rounded up to $1400 dollars! That is pretty impressive and passed my goal for the event which I was satisfied with. As a first-time event, this is the standard and I believe we can grow it annually.

Unfortunately, I broke my phone a few days before the event so I could not get any photos, but there are lots of folks who had some pics and I'll gather them as I see them and post them here. The admin, Rigo, from Virginia Area Broncos had a drone and got some pretty cool footage that I'll share here as well.

There are some more events that are in the works. Bayside Harley reached out to me to ask if we'd like to do a Pony Party (Broncos and Mustangs) at their store. I was so busy with the poker run I haven't had a lot of time to respond to that unfortunately. That would be June 15th in the morning before the Bubba's 33 monthly meet up. Stay tuned for info on that. There are also some events in NC that would be cool to participate in as well.

I want to express my deep gratitude for every single person who reads my posts here and who have shown up to our meets. We started just two of us in a parking lot at the park and have grown. We've got 22 members here on Bronco6G and we've grown to over 170 members on the Facebook group (it is hard to keep up with everyone!). Collectively, we have been able to do some fun stuff because of the eagerness to come together and have some fun adventures. I'm hoping to do more as we continue forward but I want to say thank you all for being here.

For those of you who participated in the Hampton Roads Bronco Club Poker Run, I encourage you to fill out this brief survey about your experience.

This was a first for me in terms of creating an event where we have sponsors and donations and raise money for charity so I'd like to know what areas you enjoyed and where they could be improved. This is a very simple survey, but it helps me get a small glimpse into what everyone's thoughts were. It is also anonymous so don't worry about being brutally honest as I encourage that!!

This will be used to improve future events with the group.
