so, curious which insurance company your'e going with, and if you feel like sharing, what they quote you? I have my house and other cars with Farmer's, but they quoted me an insane $1443.00 every six months and are not budging. I did an online quote with Geico (hate that arrogant lizard) and they come in at a bit over 600. I'll check others, but if you already have your Bronco insured or have a good quote, I'd appreciate to know with whom you'll go. I'm certainly not paying $3k per year, not sure what's wrong with the Farmer's guys.
Picked up my base Antimatter Blue 2dr today at Walnut Creek Ford. Shahram (GM) and his crew made my purchase experience quick and painless. Professional and courteous throughout. I highly recommend WC Ford! Couldn’t be more happier with my new ride.
If anyone is up for a guided trip to northern Baja in June, here's a link for the info. I have not done a trip with these people but I've watched a few on YouTube. This will be an easy overlanding-style trip. Not rock crawling. Afterwards a few of us will be heading north on Hwy 395 to hit one or two other trails before heading back to the Bay Area. We'll be camping.
Anyone up in the Sacramento area get an email about their Bronco being built? I'm an automotive photographer, and want to offer up a free photo shoot to someone with a Bronco! you can see my instagram with some of my work at www.instagram.com/photographybymarkbrooks
I went to the Bronco event at Serramonte Ford yesterday. I know a lot of folks probably saw the same ones all over the Bay Area but I'll show folks here also if you missed it.
I have not posted much recently because I had Bronco overload and can't stand waiting for something I want. I traded my JL in for a RAM Power Wagon a few months ago and have been enjoying building it out also another reason I have not been on here. Also, changed my order from the FE to Wildtrak, I have my reasons. Will be keeping both rigs going forward and look forward to meeting up with folks on here once we all get our Vehicles.
is anyone here familiar with the OHV park by Livermore? I've never been and can't find much info online, looks like it's mostly geared towards bikes and quads and all that, are there some trails to take a Bronco on and practice some things, check out how all the settings and modes etc work? It looks like parts of it are closed from last year's fires too, but if it's a nice park with some fun trails or obstacles it might make for a fun weekend destination once I have my Bronco. Might actually just check it out with my truck soon, but if you've been there I'd appreciate some info!
Yay, my order is in the system, got the confirmation e-mail from Ford and from my dealer, making this historic day even better :-D
Now the real wait begins and I have to stay on top of my dealer, according to him dual tops can't be ordered until "spring" what ever that may mean in Ford speak. So for now order is for the MIC top, since I want to be sure to get wiring and plumbing for the rear wiper in my rig. I'll add the soft top as soon as possible. (My dealer got the confirmation from Ford that if you order soft top only the wiring and plumbing will NOT be on your Bronco. Kind of lame, like Jeep in this regard. So keep that in mind if you think about maybe adding a hard top later on, getting the wiring and switches in will be costy.)
Several things on my order are late availability, so I don't expect to actually sit in this thing until late summer the earliest, but that's fine with me, no need to rush it now. A couple weeks more or less won't matter.
I ordered a cyber orange 4 door Badlands, 2.7/auto, Lux, Sashquatch, two package, dual top (MIC for now), LUX.
Late availability (per my dealer) are for hard top, 2.7, and Lux.
My order is with Walnut Creek Ford, also got a call from Shahram today to go over things. Exciting!
