Broncos of Pennsylvania

Scranton, Allentown, and Philly to Erie, Washington, and Pittsburgh. A club where Pennsylvanians can engage in Bronco talk, share ideas, and potentially meet up.
Looking for some help finding a referral for a southeast PA body shop to install/prep/prime aftermarket fifenders and bedsides (not fender flares, but full fender/quarter panel) and either (1) paint them to match my OEM cactus grey bronco, (2) wrap the fenders to attempt a cactus grey color match, OR (3) wrap the entire bronco.

I'm guessing option (2) is least likely to work out as color matching non-metallic paint with a wrap on just the aftermarket parts is probably problematic.

Trying to finalize my build budget before I start purchasing the parts and I have some discounts that suppliers are honoring for me pst the sale date while I sort the budget out. Not sure how long the discounts will continue being honored for me, so I’m eager to get a quote on the body work asap.

thanks for any referrals the group here has!

How about a logo using the PA state outline - and inside it is the graphic outline of a vintage Bronco traveling on a dirt road going East to West on a slight angle to the southwest - and behind it on the dirt road are Bronco hoof prints
Just joined. 2023 Black Diamond NonSAS in Cactus Grey that I’m planning on either a BajaKits LT build or BRaptor suspension upgrade on. Can’t believe I didn’t join this group till now. Any suggestions on off road/overland shops in The Southeast PA area (Montgo/bucks counties)?

I recently bought some vinyl decals for my car from PremiumCarsDecalsShop on Etsy , and I just have to recommend them! 😎 The quality is top-notch — they apply smoothly with no air bubbles and look like they came straight from the factory. The customer service was excellent too — quick responses and fast shipping.
By the way, did you know that properly placed decals can not only enhance the look of your vehicle but also protect the paint from damage? That’s exactly what they helped me achieve!
If you're looking for high-quality vinyl decals to add a personal touch to your car or revamp your interior, https://premiumcardecalsshop.etsy.com is the place to go! Highly recommend it!

Carlisle, PA here would meet up one of these upcoming weekends. We can also do AOAA as well as Rausch Creek. Has to be Sunday for me.
Hello,

I am in the Philadelphia area and was looking to get some recos on shops in the area that you all trust. I drive a 22 Big Bend and was thinking about upgrading the bumpers (as well as a few other mods) and I am not sure that I want to do the work myself. I am not opposed to traveling a bit to a place that comes highly recommended.

Thanks in advance!

Hello y'all, I'm from the Philadelphia area and was happy to see a group I could join and hopefully find out some cool places we can take our Broncos to have some fun and also meet new people. This is my second one due to having my 22 BB get smashed last year by an idiot while sitting at a red light. Anyway finally got my new 24 a month ago and it feels so good to have a Bronco again.

well, sounds like either you got a bad set of speakers or you crossed the wires some how. Try taking a battery to the speaker wires to make sure you don't have them crossed positive should flex the speaker out negative should contract the speaker in. if the speaker does nothing then my guess would be they are defective.

Figured I would post here in case anyone is in the area: Saturday, September 16th there will be a group of Broncos meeting up at Rausch Creek Offroad park. If you are interested in coming out, message me so we can get an approximate head count.

For those not familiar with the place, Rausch Creek is always a great time with lots of trails at varying difficulty levels.

would be great to see a group of us out there!

I asked because I have heard people say that AOAA green is more like RC blue, AOAA blue is more like RC black, etc. Also because I have been delayed in replacing my plastic skids with steel ones. Which has delayed my trail time. It's been a whirlwind for me this year.

I have been taking my son on the ATV's to AOAA over the past number of years so kinda partial to AOAA as well. have watched Utuber videos from RC and trails look cool there too.

Shawntrex
Yeah, that could be a way to sum it up. Trails at RC to me seem rockier. I have metal skids and have definitely used them at both locations. But I have seen a metal skid equipped Bronco come back from the trails at AOAA on a tow strap due to a stick puncture through the trans pan so I guess it can happen anywhere.
BAUS67
BAUS67
Oh yeah, I have seen many here post, "I got the skid plates" only to realize it did not cover the trans. I can remember early on many defended the "plastic" pan, Oh they are tougher than you think, that is why they have those ribs, they can take a shot and hold up. Of course I laughed and knew one shot with a rock and you're stuck. Sure enough they started showing up first one, then 2 or 3 more, then it was "How come Ford didn't make a skid for that."

I have a V6 model and the rocket scientist that added the 2 braces on the trans crossmember should be fired. Between those braces and no trans skid, someone dropped the ball. That is why I have not hit the hard stuff yet. just forest roads and "no winter maintenance", at least until I can get it protected.

So, finally got it this weekend. Added a few things, tailgate table, new badges and dash and rear podspeaker replacement.

Hello all! Received my info, sticker and map for the Truck Nationals in Carlisle on the 1st weekend in August. Thought I would post the map in case anyone was interested last minute or were curious as to the layout. As you can see, clubs have designed areas on the map. We however do not have a space. Show field Broncos will be section 315-340. See CARLISLEEVENTS.COM for further information or hit me up here and I will try to answer any questions ya'll may have. It's a good time and hopefully it will be good weather.

@Fly2Win show field. They ask make, model etc. You can also register for non show field. Just depends what/where you want to park. Show field for Broncos are 315 to 330 rows. Non show is green area on map and it's 1st come, 1st serve basically. Message me if any other questions...

Thanks! Gonna see if I can get there. I plan to go topless so the weather will likely be the determining factor.
toddf125
If you're registering for the Truck Nationals for the show field, own a Bronco, then you would register for class R305. I.D. #815. If non show field, you just register and save yourself $15. Depends where you want to park..... As I mentioned before, the non show field is 1st come, 1st served..... EVERY day......

Anyone interested in going off-roading at either Rock Run or Ben Franklin Range on July 15th? Apparently, at Rock Run it's the only day they allow driving after dark outside of guided rides. Sounds fun.

Rock Run is located about 2 hours east of Pittsburgh.
https://www.rockrunrecreation.com/event/ride-to-midnight-2023/

BFR is an hour northeast of Pittsburgh. Smaller place. But they're supposed to have a BBQ food truck there that day. :)

Looking to go on green / blue trails.

Sounds very fun, unfortunately my bronco is on the way still and I just had an addition to the family, but would love to take part in one of these in the future. Happy fourth!

Be careful out in rock run, the vehicle trails are pretty narrow. They're really a place for side by sides and custom rock crawlers. When I turned up with my Bronco and two jeeps they acted like we were crazy. We had fun other than sinking my Bronco, but I didn't get good vibes from them.

@Mishra42 Hmmm..... Thanks for the heads up. Probably not best the best place to Off Road at night with a full size 4x4 then.

They've got tons of open logging roads to rip around on, but yeah the trails were super tight. The Gladiator with us was almost too long. BGR is a fun spot, just carry a fire extinguisher if it's been dry, last time I was there i put out a brush fire.

Anyone interested in attending the 2023 Truck Nationals next year at the Carlisle fair grounds on Aug 4-6 2023? If so, I will work with Carlisle events to see if we can get a Bronco section where we can parks and show off our Broncos.

**ONCJ BRONCO INVASION 2023**

Anyone from PA that is attending the Bronco Invasion in OCNJ and would be interested in meeting before going to staging, I have found a place that would probably work to meet close to where staging (probably) is.

5th Street and Asbury Avenue, there is a parking lot, by the skate park and firehouse.

A few of us have already been talking about a pre staging meet, so this is happening, hopefully more join.

Planning to meet at 0900 at the skate park, and then head to staging at 0930.

If anyone has any thoughts or comments, let me know!

HELLO PENNSYLVANIA!

Who's going to OCNJ for the Bronco Invasion?

My wife and I are going down Friday (not sure yet if we're going to do the Farm Event) and will be there all day Saturday for the show on the Boardwalk.

I would love nothing more than to have as many Pennsylvania Broncos as possible try and meet up somewhere prior to going to staging, so we can bunch PA up as much as possible.

Anyone have any thoughts, ideas, comments?

Also, I'm also fairly active on the "Ford Broncos of PA" Facebook page, if anyone here is also there. (I'll be posting the same there)
