So looking in the clubs section I don't see an active Alberta club so I will post here,Anyone in western Canada going to the Alberta Outdoor Adventure Expo (AOAE)Sept long weekend? We are going and would be great to meet some fellow B6G members.
So, I'll go over what I liked and found out the hard way on. Nothing too crazy.
First, door and soft top removal:
Definitely took some time and was not as easy as videos showed, but it has gotten easier. As for the bumper guides for the doors, I never saw anyone show exactly where to place them. At the highest part of the door frame on the bronco is where you want one, the other is on the door itself. You want to place the second bumper at the highest point as well or where I placed it which is about three inches below it. After that, worked great.
Second: clicking!!!
While putting back on the doors, one of them was doing a real bad clicking, I panicked and removed the door and put it back on a couple times but when I tightened the bolts, the clicking went away.
Follow up, after washing my car yesterday, I noticed the door clicked a lot when I opened it. I checked the bolts by hand and looked for anything stuck, which didn't happen. So I told myself I'd take the door off later and went for a drive, about 45min later I heard the bolt fall out and bounce around between the door and frame. I pulled over, tightened it with the tool set and the clicking stopped. So I took this as a sign that it needed to be tightened because it came loose somehow. Now I know.
Third: gas mileage
Wow!!! Got 11.4L/100km. Which was incredible. As an example, my kia soul gets around 9L/100km.
With gas around 1.35/L it's roughly $10 for 100kms. Not complaining at all.
The tailgate is getting more and more predictable to use. Regards to force, etc.
Fourth, take out floor mats when driving w no doors.
Fifth, soft top gets wrinkles the more you open it up.
Sixth, my key fob auto start isn't doing what I think it's suppose to do. It says click twice, I have many times but nothing happens. I use the ford pass app to auto start though.
Seventh, we had a rain storm so I changed the goat mode to slippery. Wow! Turning a corner in this mode from the stop position was insanely slow. Equivalent speed to someone pushing your Bronco for you. It will definitely not slip going that slow around a turn.
Eight, rain and soft top
After a rain, when you open the door, the water Poor's down onto the floor, just on the inner side of your Bronco where the food guards are. No big deal but it definitely will need to be wiped up after a good rain.
Nine, swapping out the plastic bumper for modular is in the works, but from a recent post, it doesn't look like this is suppose to take place. It's not compatible at all and cutting through welds is required, as well as shackles and other missing parts.
Tenth, so far I absolutely LOVE the bronco! I love that the bumpers sit a couple inches below the frame which will help with impacts and especially rotting of the frame. I love that the bronco is very quiet, even w a soft top. The audio is great, no idea why people said it was not. My kids love it, my wife loves it, coworkers, etc.

Saskatchewan here…. Dealer had a 4 door Outer Banks with the soft top. Really wanted the MIC top, and the Lux package. He had ordered one for his wife, ended up selling it to us. Really happy with it so far.
If anybody has or knows of a modular steel bumper (with bar is a bonus) that is up for sale or will be up for sale in the next year or so, please let me know. Mine coming in next month (supposed to arrive) does not have the steel bumper and that was on my wish list.
I will drive, pay shipping, whatever it takes to get one. I just feel that this design is up my alley with all the easy ad on holes and would rather the bronco bumper than an aftermarket.
Well it happened....we needed a vehicle, got tired of waiting and uncertainty of whether what we wanted would even be delivered this year etc. We bought a Jeep, which is what my wife fell in love with and got me onto this adventure. LOVE the Jeep but will be watching through the window when all these Broncos start arriving. Cheers everyone!
Hello all soon to be new bronco owners. I tried building my package online on jan 9th but I "thouggt" I was doing something wrong cuz the donut doors weren't coming up& landed up calling & going to the dealership on Jan 11th to make sure it was done properly. Come to find out to my disappointment the donut doors were squashed its probably a safety issue BUT I really am hoping they produce a different one,of the same concept, to be honest when I seen the debut them doors are what attracted me to the new Bronco .I was able to build my package with the dealer. Cyber Orange Outer Banks Sasquatch, with all this stuff that I know nothing about,& I'm probably the only person who's never off roaded (but gonna learn in my old age) who wants one so badly. I can barely wait till she is sitting in my driveway! They told me a Vin# will be emailed to me in March than I can keep tabs on her.
Anyone else rolling the dice ordering? Its confusing with all the limitations etc but I pushed forward 1 order: Wildtrak, Sasq, 2.7L, Velocity, MIC. We'll see what happens i guess!
Well don't see a club for us Berta Boys ,so here I am from the windswept rainy Town of Bonnyville Alberta.Always wanted a 1st gen Bronco but could only find clapped out bondo buckets that were overpriced,so the 6g Bronco gives the look of old with modern features a win/win for sure Ps still torn between Big bend and Black Diamond
Edmonton Here. My first car was an '88 Bronco II. Wasn't even in the market for a new vehicle until the launch. Will be replacing a nice '15 VW Tiguan and getting either a 4-door Badlands or Wildtrak + a new off-road tear-drop.
Full disclosure......We've never had a Bronco, we've never had a Jeep, we've been a GM truck family forever. By chance my brand new 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 was in the shop for 5 weeks over yet another crazy electronic issue and i saw an Orange 2020 Sahara Unlimited at the rental place. I ended up driving that thing from Toronto to Boston a few times for my kids hockey and my whole family fell in love with it. Now, she doesn't want to wait for the Bronco so i have to decide either spec'd out Rubicon (and hold off on the Bronco) and risk her not having the same ride on-road manners as the Sahara or find her a Sahara and get the built out Bronco when it arrives and perform all the begging required in between! I think option 2 is worth it. lol
4 door, Antimatter Blue, Sasquatch with that lighter marine vinyl interior, possibly with white roof....and then add some funky wheels to match.....does it get any better?
