Hey y'all full time RV'er here who is currently in Columbia SC. My wife's new Badlands comes in in the next ten days.

Do you guys have any recommended places she can çheck out accessories for her Bronco so that we have a plan to acquire what's needed before our next move? Our old stomping grounds are Charlotte do we are not adverse to being up there either.

It is a bit late now, but that would have been at the Townsend, Supercellebration show a few weeks past. There where specific Bronco vendors there advertising their wears, plus an ability to look around at other trucks and what the owners have done with their rigs to ask questions about. If I were you, I wouldn't miss next years event.

If y'all know anyone looking for a loaded 4-door 23 Wildtrak, please point them my way. Hoping to break even, but I can afford to sell for a bit less than I have in her. Lux, tow, leather, MIC, etc. Only selling b/c I bought this one when Ford said they weren't going to build my order. Two days after I found and bought this one, I got the "Your Bronco Is Scheduled To Be Built" email. While I'd like to not lose money on this one, my real goal is just break even on the swap, which is less than I have in this one (due price protection and a below invoice order).

Ok - I am a little underwhelmed by the Bronco trail app - one trail are URE? No Hurricane Creek. No beaches.

We need to collectively get to work adding content I guess. Need to figure out how.

Came to the Corral a few times, but kept missing everyone. I ended up doing many of the drives and parked in the Bronco Nation Area in the front when I was there which honestly was not a lot.

Yea, I walked through a few times hoping to see some of the folks from up my way in WNC, but alas, didn't see anyone I knew. Did see someone dishing out some breakfast though on Saturday. Props for that!

I'm in Raleigh and have forescan and the connection cable. I added fogs to my badlands about a year ago. I'd be happy to see if we can get yours working.

I know if you ask 20 people you usually get 20 different opinions but I’m trying to decide on what tire I’m going to throw on my wildtrak when my stock GY’s are worn out. I‘ll preface all this by saying I’ve actually been really impressed with the stock tires in most every condition. They’ve far exceeded my expectations but they’re wearing pretty quickly so I’ll look to go a different direction when it’s time.
I’m fully aware they’re two totally different kinds of tire but I’m honestly down to between the Trail Grappler and the Ridge Grappler in a 35x12.5x17 OR a 37. Specific to east coast terrain.. does anybody have any input on which you like better? We’ve got Ridge grapplers on my wife’s Jeep which sees a lot of pavement and we really really like them. I’m basically trying to decide if the shortcomings of the Trial grapp on-road are worth the advantage off-road vs. the opposite for the Ridge. In other words if the Ridge grappler has LESS of a disadvantage off-road than the Trail grappler has a disadvantage on-road then that’s what I’d go with.
Side note - looks like the 37” Ridge grappler is load range D which I like vs. the rougher E for on-road comfort. Might be a factor

How is the road noise with these? I think this is what I want to put on mine.
V1Rotate
V1Rotate
@Chelsgirl21 road noise was not bad! You can definitely tell you’re on a MT but I wouldn’t call it distracting. Funny story - since posting this I actually decided to go with 37’s and traded them in at Discount tire for some Toyo Open Country M/T’s. By comparison I would call the road noise “different” but not remarkably so. The Toyo’s might be a touch quieter but neither would I call loud. Traction was awesome with the Mickey’s on and off road
BeerRunner
BeerRunner
How do you like the Toyo’s?
V1Rotate
V1Rotate
@BeerRunner Love them! Not apples to apples with the Mickey Thompson’s since I went 37x12.5 with the Toyos vs 35” Mickeys but I’d go Toyo again next time. We’ve wheeled them in pretty much the exact same spots now and the Toyo’s seem to hook up slightly better on wet rock (though again being 37’s might help some). On-road the Toyo’s are quieter.. not silent - you know you’re on MT’s - but definitely hardly noticeable after getting used to them. They handle wet roads really well also and have zero noticeable tread-sway. I haven’t had them long enough for a wear report but I’ll report back. As far as balancing - they’re dead smooth, no issues there. That’s one place I’ve seen people have a nightmare with trying to go cheap on tires.. that’s an awful lot of rubber on a 17” wheel so if it’s not a high end tire it could be hard to balance.

Appreciate the detailed feedback report! I’m not in market for tires yet until I either find a buyer for my GY MT 315/70R17 Sasquatch tires and wheels or a really good deal. I am though taking down notes and learning from all of you here.

@BeerRunner I sold my stock SAS GY’s for $800 at around 4k miles on them on FB marketplace in about 12 hours + I timed it very well with a Discount Tire sale on Toyos. Maybe could have gotten a little more but it made a decent dent in the 5 Toyo’$

Chapel Hill: Selling Ford 4 door cargo enclosure ($300) and (SOLD)DV8 door molle ($50).
Build going a different direction, so looking for a new home for parts. Enclosure I love, must have for soft top IMHO. DV8 MOLLE never even got installed.

Hey guys and gals just moved to Clayton, NC from Williamsburg, VA. We have had our Badsquatch for about 6 months now. Formally TJ/JK owner. Most of my offroad experience has been on the sand at OBX and looking to get into some trail riding. Look forward to interacting with this group and any recommendations for places to go would be appreciated.

After a lot of debating, I think the Bronco is going to win out versus my JL. I really am enjoying the manual transmission in the Bronco along with the washout interior (no issues with 2 spray downs from sand - I'm at the beach with gear a lot). I'm in Charleston, SC and up for some wheeling trips (Uwharrie, Gulches, NC Mountains, wherever, even Francis Marion nearby). Let me know if there are any planned events.

Hey all - I recently joined this community as a new member, and just bought my first Bronco. Eager to take it off-road, though I'm still a novice at this. Anyone have any tips, advice, etc... they could share?

I am planning on heading out to Uwharrie tomorrow to have a look around.

Nice! What did you get? We’d all like to see it. Uwharrie should be popular this opening weekend so shouldn’t have trouble finding a few folks to tag up with and hang around. As for super generic bronco off-roading advice for now - I’d start by letting a little air out of your tires, turn off traction control (hold the button down for about 5-10 secs) and just go out and familiarize yourself with the vehicle.. get comfortable getting into and out of 4L, where it’s different/better/worse than 4H, how your lockers work, what some of the GOAT modes do (though I’d lean less on the automation at this point), etc.

@SCBronco1 It sure is! It is a matter of time until I relocate now. I'm sort of thinking about Carolina Shores, NC. Just up from North Myrtle, looks like a quiet little place, but still close enough to the fun stuff. Just hope there's some serious Bronco activity going on down there! We seem to have a hotbed of it in Kentucky right now.
Whats up guys? Hartsville SC here.
2022 BigBend SAS. 2.3 10sp auto, 4.70 gears and f&r lockers. . Morimoto Lights, upgraded factory speakers, forscanned, Mabettrunning boards, speaker pods, seat covers, hood shocks, JB4 tunner, and some other crap.

Picked her up 13 Feb. was waiting on the order banks to open up to order one. Dealer (Jones Ford in Shallotte) Called me to let me know they had a BD on the lot but unfortunately it was a 4dr. While talking to him(Sam) he said there was truck pulling in with a 2dr on it and he would call me back and let me know if it was a BD. It was, took me 20 minutes to get to the dealership, tossed him my keys to the Ranger and told him to get all the paperwork ready while I test drove it.

No ADM, no crazy add ons, just admin fee which is normal around here.. MSRP and fair offer on my trade and I was out the door.

Anyone know a great place to get a wrap treatment done? I really want a transparent matte film. I also want some vinyl thrown on, but I'm just really nervous about taking my vehicle to just any place.
I'm in Raleigh, N.C.

I use Custom Tint in Apex. Not only have they done window tinting for me but they did a protective wrap on my '19 30th AE Miata and they also added a hood graphic on my Bronco.

I have a Stealth PPF by Xpel. It was done by TVP Auto in North Raleigh. I did a decent amount of research on companies and they had a lot of positive reviews especially from higher end cars. It's been on since October of 2021 and still looks great. I was really impressed by the self-healing ability of the film. I've had a few branch marks that just disappeared over time. My total cost with wrap, tinted windows, and repainted rear badge was about $5k

Nice, thank you. I'm hoping my quote won't be 5k, but around 3k-3.5k. All the prices I've seen have been around 5k and up, so I'm not too hopeful, but will be glad as long as the quality is there.

Finally took the top off today with this great weather we’ve had around Charlotte, NC. Only have had this velocity blue Bronco in hand for the last couple of weeks, looking forward to getting out to more places, making friends, and seeing some more of these beautiful Carolina rigs cruising around!
