Finally got Olga out for some camping. Minor adjustments to be made this weekend when I get back from Chicago, but overall worked out well!

Anyone have a roof rack they are trying to get rid of? Long shot but figured I would ask. Trip this weekend to Twin Lakes State Park in Virginia and no way to carry the Kayaks!

Decided to try AOAA. It was my first time there. Didn’t enjoy it as much as Rausch but much more affordable and seemed to be more organized. Unlike Rausch, it seemed like the trails were 50/50 split between full size vehicles and ATVs

also in case anyone is wondering the stock rock rails do work. And yes I am an idiot

Where is AOAA?

I've used the stock rails a couple times as well, glad they were there and my rocker panel wasn't taking those hits. Stock Badlands, Non-Sasquatch and after going to both Rausch and AOAA I would agree with you that I like Rausch better so far, but I really only saw a fraction of AOAA. Looking forward to going more simply for the cost alone. Also due to Badlands Non-Sasquatch, I've realized that my life would be better with an additional 1-2" of lift, I think most of my scrapes and skid plate usage would go away.

@srotier I have a non-sas badlands too and I’d say about 65% of my scrapes so far have been due to inexperience or just me being dumb. But I do agree, something as small as as 1” would help tremendously.

@DjMojon I am very interested in Eibach's coil spring only kit, still utilizes the stock Bilstein's, just adds length to the coils. However they don't list them as an option on their website for a 2.3L. I've reached out to them to find out why (assuming it's a glitch). Website says it should add 1.8" to the front and 1.0" to the rear, but again it only lists as available for the 2.7L.

Nice! Good to know they work!

All done with installing Dynamat in the cargo area and inside/on the four doors. Man, the inside of those doors are just like tin cans... thin metal on those exteriors. Doors have a nice deep thud now when closing them now.

I ordered/bought my bronco with the intention of taking it off-road. I clearly did not do my homework beforehand and realized that Maryland does not have many trails. I live in Baltimore, so besides the potholes I was out of luck. After about 5 months of ownership I finally decided to take the 2+ hour trip to Rausch Creek. I paid for the ‘beginners course’ and it was way more demanding (in a good way) than what I imagined.
I’m already checking my schedule to see when I can make another trip. Hoping this group takes off to see if we can schedule a meet. For anyone on the fence about off reading I highly recommend offroad consulting at Rausch creek.

I'm in Frederick County too. Although I'm focused on long-range overlanding, I've just picked up a Backcountry Discovery Route (BDR) Mid-Atlantic Region Map to find our area dirt, gravel and linked paved road trails for some weekend "wandering". Although the maps are aimed at adventure motorcyclists, the routes work just as well for 4-wheel off-roaders / overlanders. Hope this helps.

Thanks I used your link to check these then I had to chuckle alittle I used to run these 45 yrs ago when there was nothing up there, use to be a lot of side trails mostly fire trails and power line trails nobody cared back then enter at your own risk I don’t think that would fly nowadays

Would anyone locally be interested in this front plate bracket from user HBTFD for the capable bumper? I decided to go a different route for my front plate bracket an no longer need this. I know it isn't worth much so I'm just looking to give this away to someone locally for free so it doesn't keep rattling around in the back of my car. Please let me know if you are interested.

Heya all! New from AA County MD. I've been eyeballing Broncos for a couple years now and made the decision to buy on Monday. On Tuesday I found one online that met my "deal-breaker" specs. On Wednesday I made the 2 hours drive to the dealer and brought it home. Based on all the stories I hear of people waiting for orders, I'm going on the assumption that I've used up any good-luck I've had banked for the next year or so.

I'm a former Jeeper, so as you can imagine I'm already looking forward to meetups and trail rides!

I picked up my 2023 2DR Wildtrak with LUX, HOSS3, and cloth seats in Dec…didn’t realize how rare that would be and almost didn’t get it…I have a ‘73 uncut Bronco and gave up a 2014 FJ to get the Bronco but in retrospect I’m glad I did. But I do miss my FJ!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I've got a '23, 4Door, 2.7L, Lux Pack, with dual top in Iconic Silver. As said before I've been kicking the idea around for a couple years and when I decided to buy-in, things just fell into place. The only factory options I would have waited for is green paint, and a receiver hitch/ 4pin connector. As things were, the intended owner backed out and I lucked into this one a day after I made the decision to buy.

Aside from work and family I spend most of my time focusing on music and recently day-dreaming about getting back on the trail. I am a volunteer guitar teacher for Warrior Music Foundation. We give Music therapy and music lessons to veterans. It's a way for me, a vet myself, to remain in service to my brothers and sisters.

Can't seem to add my Bronco pic here.. so I'll see if I can edit the original post to add it.

Anyone in the DMV area or close to Alexandria VA have access to forscan and willing to help a brother out. I’m looking to add sport mode to my badlands and get rid of the annoying beeping when shutting the door.
Thanks!

Peter's Mill Run is fun. I also suggest going a little further to Flagpole Knob. Flagpole Knob is more challenging, a longer trail, and has great views at the top. I have been to both several times this year and always have a great time.

If anyone sets up a trip please ping me. I am usually up for it.

Hello All,

Off-topic question. Does anyone know where I can sell a lightly used electric bike in the surrounding area?
