Granger Fan Club - Broncotown, USA

This is a group for Bronco enthusiasts who are also fans of Granger Ford. It is a gathering site to share all things Bronco, Granger, Road trips, Wheeling and more. No need to buy from Granger, just an enthusiasm for their contributions to the forum!
Hey folks - my Bronco has almost completed its journey from MAP to Granger and I anticipate picking it up in a couple of weeks and driving it home to Tennessee. If anyone has a modular bumper that they are looking to sell somewhere between Iowa and Tennessee, please send me a message! Thanks!

Had a Granger plate frame made (don't sue me for copyright infringement please). It's difficult to tell but the white portion is counter-relief carved into the blue. Gives it some depth and quality. I think they did a great job! Whenever my plates arrive from Springfield I'll post it installed.

What has been everyone's experience of time to ship a completed Bronco by rail to granger? Just trying to get a rough estimate in my head. Zach once told me my 03/06 blend date should be an April to early may delivery.

855 days after my Grangetober reservation, I’m in with one deadly sin! Kept the Sasquatch. Really surprised it’s my turn to share that stoke! Should be ready for southern Utah/Durango trip this Fall…but I’ll try not to hold my breath…
Whoop whoop! 🙌

Hope to see Zach, Samantha, and all in Iowa when it arrives there!

My trip to Granger

I drove all day Friday, and got a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Urbandale. It’s modern and clean and 8 miles from the dealership. I met Samantha at 9am and was introduced to my beautiful new Bronco. It was a clear sunny day, and I could have stared at that green paint all day.
I can’t say enough about the staff at Granger, just first class people.
And who did I meet, also picking up their Bronco, @SunnDogg and his wife. Great meeting you guys!
if anybody is expecting their Bronco soon, I saw a green Base with hardtop, a white Base with soft top, a cyber orange 2 door badlands a white 4 door badlands, and a Cactus Badlands with Sasquatch.
Here are some pics:

Hi gang, Normally as a car guy it's sacrilege to keep dealer logos or plate frames on your car, but a Broncotown, USA tag means something. Does the Granger crew have anything like this for order holders on pickup? Didn't see anything on their site to buy and it's late to call. So pinging here first before Zach gets a tag.

They have "Granger" stickers available for free that will fit on the wider licence frames. You could also stick it on a rear or side window.
More important than that, you bought your Bronco from an amazing dealer at a great price. Over the years i have bought lots of vehicles and this was a fantastic experience. Thank you @Zach@Granger

Wanted to see what the experience of those who have been lucky enough to pick up their broncos and also had been tracking their rail car.
Mine is currently showing it’s in Omaha and I kinda figured it may get loaded on a truck from there? Has that been the case or does it continue on to Des Moines?
In either case what was the rough timeline from arriving at either rail yard and then showing up at Granger? Trying to plan travel arrangements.

How did you all track it to Omaha? Mine was on CSX and I could track to Chicago and now it is sitting in Blue Island, IL but Ford Marketing does not have any other information on it other than they say it is supposed to delivery by the 17th. There is no way that is happening. I was 08/03 blend date.

Another question to add to yours is if anyone has had to have Granger hold the car for a week or more in case you couldn't get there quickly. I'm wondering what people's experience has been in that case.

No issue at all for them. I think they had mine for close to two weeks before I could get it. Regardless, they’ll have it shiny and ready for pickup when you arrive. Great experience. They even picked me up from my hotel in Des Moines.

Now I have bought several new vehicles in my life but no experience was quite like the epic experience I had at Granger Motors. Having waited about 2 years and vowing not to cut the 6 hairs I had left on my head until I got my Bronco, I arose early at my hotel in Urbandale and brought out my razor. I wanted to look good for the reporters and the thousands of Iowans I had invited to celebrate with me. Traveling from Urbandale to Granger. Motors there were no less than 19 full size billboards welcoming me by name . When I got within 10 miles of the dealership, the highway was lined with thousands of well wishers , cheering ecstatically.

Arriving at the dealership, Samantha said I was in for a treat today. She said the parade that Granger has for each Bronco owner was about to begin. ( I thought -sure , this is going to be funny) The parade was spectacular with no less with than 87 floats, 3 high school marching bands and the University of Iowa Drum Corp. By this time I was feeling a bit overwhelmed ( and ashamed that I had complained about waiting so long to get my Bronco).

After the parade ended, everything became quiet and they escorted me to the center of the parade route. It was then that the the mayor of Granger presented me with the keys to the city and declared that I was forever an honorary citizen.

Finally , the moment had arrived. I entered the showroom and Zach handed me the keys to my new Bronco. As is the custom for every new Bronco delivered, I then joined all the employees in lifting our shot glasses in a toast to the wait being over. How they knew I liked Woodford Reserve is beyond me. ( I am not sure if the employees are always this happy or if they had just delivered to many Broncos that day but a good time was had by all.)

I drove away with the crowd still cheering and a Texas size smile on my face.

Thank you Granger for a memorable experience.

Figured I would ask here first. I know many of us are driving to Granger to pick up their bronco, but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience shipping? If so, how did it work, would you do it again, and do you have a company you would recommend? Zach said they don’t have a preferred company.

May still do the drive, but wanted to look into options.

@H0pelessOpus thanks.

I pinged Lepke and they got back to me super quick with a quote to ship to the SF Bay Area - $1400 for open transport with $50k insurance coverage; $2100 for closed transport with $200k insurance coverage. These are pretty reasonable and at the low end compared to other quotes. Just sharing in case anyone is curious and looks at this thread.

I have been out for most of the week. But I did come across the new July update from Zach.

@Zach@Granger thank you for the update. I really appreciate your approach and communication. Your transparency and insight from the industry is refreshing.

We also want to extend our memories and gratitude for Albert in the group as well. He is very much missed and I would bet most of us considered him a friend even though we did not get a chance to meet in person.

Want to send out a big thanks to @Zach@Granger. I got notice from the Granger Team today that I have a VIN! Was able to determine that it is a week of 08/08/22 build schedule.

I am sure we are not out of the woods yet, but it feels great knowing that I am at least on the board.

Have not received it yet, but you might find this helpful.

Built 5/11.
Shipped via rail.
Ford's original delivery estimate: 6/12-6/18.
Ford's updated delivery estimate:
6/7-6/13

Hunter at Granger said that it typically arrives on the later side of the Ford estimate. Granger typically needs 2-3 business days to prep.

Those rigs built on a Monday or Tuesday seem to mostly get shipped the same week. Those built later generally get shipped the following week.

Best plan is to get the Bronco when it arrives. Mine was 'built' blend in October, finished in late December and arrived a couple of weeks later. Worth the wait. Love driving this rig every day. Only 8,500 miles on it so far. Trouble free. Granger is the best, I'll only buy from them now.

Any news on upcoming allocations for June? I know they had 50 for April/May so hopefully we’ll get an update from @Zach@Granger sometime this week.

Can't say enough about the Granger team. I ordered a Jeep Wrangler in January because my Expedition was piling on the miles and I'm roughly #250 on the Bronco order list. The Wrangler was delivered 10 weeks from order date and got a trade in value that exceeded what I was being offered locally. My son and I made the 7 hour each way trip last weekend. The whole delivery process took about 30 minutes and I was back on the road making it home for dinner. I recieved follow up phone calls and emails in the following days from the Granger crew thanking me and offering additional assistance if needed. They're doing things right here I and plan to continue to check in anytime I'm in the market for a new vehicle. Thanks Zach@Granger and the team for a pleasurable experience. While I initially had my heart set on a Bronco, I love the Jeep so much that I'm having second thoughts about the Bronco.

My Bronco is in route. I am trying to lineup financing options prior to my visit. How far off is the WBDO from the final purchase agreement? Just trying to plan. I know tx/title/license, accessories, service plans, etc aren’t included. I am not expecting any surprises and don’t want any either.

they should contact you with an exact amount once it shows up mine was a real easy transaction, just your basic ownership papers, the price i paid was what we agreed on months prior, i also opted for the extended warranty and was in and out in less than an hour, i was from out of state so i had to take care of tax title and license at the illinois secretary of states office

I noticed in a general forum thread (can't remember which one), @Zach@Granger posted they might be seeing more allocation than anticipated. Any update is welcome, but thought I'd add that to the group and tag Zach to see if there was more he'd like to add away from the general forum. Have a Happy Easter everyone!
