New to the group, thanks for putting this group together. I'm in the Indy area and just returned from a few days on the Kentucky Adventure Tour. I did a 160 mile section from the Jellico, TN area going clockwise through Big South Fork Recreation Area and then up to the Daniel Boone National Forest into Williamsburg. Lots of nice gravel wooded roads with some nice pucker moments off-roading.

Would love to find a group to go for 3-4 days on the KAT throughout the year.

'22 Badlands 4dr "BoB's Mountain Chicken"

Setting her up to be a Toad for our RV. Any one here have any pearls of wisdom they care to drop before I undertake this?

What are some of the places to get a little off road near here? Is there a list posted that I missed?

Thanks!

Hey @PROBvictory, welcome to the club and enjoy that badboy. You're actually right down the road from a new place I just found, InterLake State Recreation Area. Only been once (used to frequent Dirty Turtle and Blue Holler) this year, but it's a lot better than Blue Holler in that it's cleaner, better maintained, and less drunk toys on the trails.

@DorlanJ trying to head out there tomorrow to do some of the basic trails. (Last time I was off roading was in an Army HMMWV in the hills of ft Benning Georgia, had a Company of HMMWVs and a M984 wrecker a radio call away and didn't worry about scratching the paint or getting too stuck...lol)

Bronco meet up and trail ride on July 22. The trail should be easy enough for any stock Bronco. Come on out!

Hey guys.
Would anyone be interested in a weekend off-road trip?
Spring is right around the corner, and I think it's time to get our Broncos out doing what they were built to do.

The only thing I've done is the Dirty Turtle a couple of times before it closed and the TX Off-Roadeo.
I really want to do an overnighter on the DBBB, but would really prefer to go with someone that has done it before.

@KyTruckPlant I’m pretty sure it’s just me from the Louisville area going. Should be 6 or 7 Broncos in our group meeting at the rest stop. It’s the meeting place for everyone that rides the dbbb so there might be other off road groups there too. We’re normally there till 930 or so till we head to the trail head. If you wanted to meet up and follow me down it’s up to you I plan to head out around 645. If you don’t have a gmsr radio I’ve got a hand held you can borrow.
KyTruckPlant
KyTruckPlant
@Frankie945, is the rest stop the Junior Williamson rest area? Looks like it has an old caboose there?
I have a couple of handheld radios, but not sure if they are gmsr or not.

@KyTruckPlant Yes. I’ll have a extra radio with me just in case.

I am all for a get together but spring and early summer are no go for me right now as we're expecting our 4th in the next month. @KyTruckPlant or anyone else planning something come mid-late summer, keep posts here.
I know my off-road group (only 3 of us right now) were planning a LBL trip sometime in the summer, I'll post something when we get more detailed plans.

Got my base on Friday! New tires and wheels, tint and some accents. First day with front top section off because the weather was amazing here in Kentucky. Looking forward to this summer

Ryan, welcome. You should see my son and I riding in our Bronco's around Etown and Ft. Knox. He has a 2 door white and I have a 2 door Eruption Green. Knox Ford was solid. See you around town.

I remember seeing both a white and EG 2 door around. I saw an EG 4 door on my way home from work this evening. I bought mine at Swope Ford. Zero issues other than being pushed to a 23 which is no their fault. Zero issues getting the price protection at time of purchase. My drives a Cyber Orange Sport. We ordered a CO 22 but lost that color when we got bumped to 23. It all worked out for us in the end. Don’t be a stranger if you see me around Etown or on Knox. I work on Knox but in Etown. @KKCSHIPP

Has anyone ordered from Oxmoor Ford Lincoln in 2022 and picked theirs up recently? I think my dealer is mistaken about retail price protection (not being charged the mid-year price increase). They say I'll receive a rebate directly from Ford, whereas Ford customer service and other people on here say that Ford re-invoices/re-imburses the dealer and the dealer should 1) either discount the price at purchase or 2) send me the rebate check to me.

Any ideas what I should do here? Would greatly appreciate the help.

Also, I had to ask them to do the price protection. They did not do it automatically. And after I asked for it, it seemed like they had to research for a few minutes to figure out how to do it. I think the dealerships have been confused about price protection as well as the customers.

My experience with Oxmoor was less than stellar. I felt like I knew more than any salesman or manager. You may want to check out Bill Collins or Town and Country.

Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply. I ended up buying the bronco I had on order on Saturday. As I talked about here: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/how-is-price-protection-applied.57752/post-1657488, I managed to get it in writing that the dealer would forward me my rebate if they got it. I know that's iffy wording for me, but I'll continue to bug them and hopefully annoy them into sending it to me after the 30-90 day (the range I've seen on the forum) waiting period.

Ok, I’ve had my Bronco for a week. I have decided against the two inch lift. I bought it from Zone Off Road. I’m doing leveling kit instead. Bought for a hundred bucks. Could return but if someone wants to buy for a hundred bucks, I’m in Louisville. 502-296-8885

@DorlanJ i paid what my original agreed upon price, but they tried to write it up for a different price "a ballpark figure" Then based tax on a price that was higher than my truck. Almost 3K difference that I called them out on ...... then the apologies for the mistakes started flowing. Mistakes or about to scoop 3K, not sure. Oxmoor Ford. I had photo screen shotted from the ford.com site..... Just a little game they tried to play I think.

@TondaB That's what I'm wondering if I'll have to do. I've bought 2 vehicles from Oxmoor Auto Group and have had to do some "beating up" to ensure they didn't get extra out of me on both deals. I'm 99% certain they have my name on a short list over at their Toyota dealership because of how much I beat them up on a TRD Pro back in 2018.

Thank you for the heads up and good thing I keep everything and take lots of screenshots.

@DorlanJ Are you still with Oxmoor? I just placed an order with them 3 weeks ago. Just curious how your experience has gone so far? Thanks
DorlanJ
DorlanJ
@Cwill79 I am still with them. My experience with them has been meh at best. They're polite and friendly, but non-responsive via call. Txting they'll get back to you because it hits their webCS and they're pretty decent at responding.
Regarding the Bronco experience, I've had to update them every step of the way.

When we had to re-submit the orders back in Oct, they knew nothing about it nor that it was happening. Bottom line, to purchase the vehicle I imagine it'll be straight forward process. They have continued to stand by no ADM and that any order will be an easy process if not just a little bit of conversation around the typical fun stuff.

DorlanJ hey I went to Oxmoor ford in 2021 and they had 10K markup on all the 3 of the Bronco’s that had in stock one was sold but the other two were there for the taking ( if u had an extra $10K) I ended up going to Jim O’Neal got my Outer Banks a week ago couldn’t be happier
DorlanJ

@Eddie G-man Congrats man and glad you finally got yours! I was surprised that mine was finally scheduled for Nov build, cannot wait for the early Christmas present!
Was debating picking up one of the Wildtracks they've had in stock the past few months, but they would not budge on their ADM, even knowing I had a Bronco coming and that they'd essentially be making 3 sales off of me (Wildtrack, my order, plus "buying" back the Wildtrack and reselling it at a higher markup). End of the day, decided to just sit tight and wait it out.

Getting set to order my Bronco this August when the order process opens up. Any suggestions on which dealer to order from? My first inclination is Tri-County Ford in Buckner. Appreciate anyone sharing their experiences with dealers in the Louisville area.

Thanks to all that replied. Looks like most of the local dealers are charging MSRP without ADM for ordered vehicles. Now it’s just a matter of choosing the right salesperson.

I'm selling my '21 Badlands two-door Cyber Orange. I'd rather sell to an individual over Caravana so shoot me a message if you know someone who's interested.

You’re gonna love that EG color. Ford did the Pearl finish right on the new ‘22 colors. Eruption Green and Chili Pepper Red
Took the EG OBX out west to Tetons, Yellowstone, and Glacier. It’s still amazing how much a conversation starter these horses are. I still get stopped everywhere with inquiries and wanting to see inside. It will eventually die down when Ford gets enough of them out there, but pretty cool for now.

still out here for 5 more days, but so far we are at 3,250 total miles and 22.4 MPG on the 2.7.

There’s a huge ride going on at red river gorge this weekend the trails will be packed with vehicles and next weekend being Memorial Day weekend they’ll also probably be packed.
