NEBRASKA BRONCO CLUB

THIS CLUB IS FOR FORD BRONCO FANS LIVING IN NEBRASKA OR NEIGHBORING STATES (SD,CO,KS,IA,MO)

Thanks for letting me join your group! I currently live in Colorado, but was raised in rural Nebraska (Geneva). I visit Albion quite often as my mom and younger brother and his family live there. I have a Race Red 2021 OBX, non-sas, soft top, with a 2” lift and optional badlands wheels and 33” tires. We removed the running boards and added AIG steps. I love it so much!!! I’m a bit curious…why aren’t there more Race Red Broncos in this Nebraska group???? It’s the BEST color!!

Got my cactus gray Wildtrak in May after a long, long wait. Been slacking on getting on the forum recently, but figured I'd share this one. Ran into target with my family last weekend. Parked by myself/away from other cars, but this is the scene I cam back out to haha! Gotta love it.

I got my bronco just before christmas. I have done a few things to it. added some stripes to the side, rockslide steps for my old knees, mud flaps etc.

the first thing I did since I live on a dirt rode is add the IAG mud flaps.
IMG_1481(1).jpg

then I added the rockslide steps they stick out a bit more and between the steps and the mudflaps it really decreases the mud rocks and carnage that hit the sides so less paint chips, and less cleaning lol.

IMG_1529.jpg

It looks pretty good next to my classic I think.

IMG_1533.jpg

btw if anyone is interested in the factory rock rails and wants to come pick them up I would sell them for 50.00

Anyone who's done rail tracking in the Omaha area, what was your experience after being unloaded to get to the dealership? My dealer is Woodhouse of Omaha (the old Atchley dealership) and I'm on the fence if I call them. It was unloaded from the train Saturday afternoon.

I didn't ask, but I was a late second day reservation and he indicated that I was not probably going to be within their allotment. He did tell me though, that since I didn't have any of those short supply requests, he thought I might stand a good chance of still getting mine this year yet. I'm not holding my breath at this point, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

I was told Baxter got 20 and I am in the first half of that 20. With a hard top and Sasquatch, we will see what happens. I should be good for this year at a minimum. Well, hopefully I will be.

Anyone ordered a Raptor? If so, how much ADM? Got an email from Woodhouse asking if I would be interested in trading in my Badlands. Out of curiosity, I inquired about ordering a Raptor. $25k ADM standard through all 3 Woodhouse locations. Didnt order.

What did they offer to trade in your BL?

Yes I ordered one from Woodhouse. I was #1 on the list. Should be here next month. 20k over
leonw411
Nice Ranger! Love to see it someday in person.
Didnt give me a dollar amount, they were just curious if I wanted to trade it in. That's when I threw out the question regarding Raptor ADM. Looks like they are around $5k more base price on the B&P for 2023 so close to $100k w/ADM at Woodhouse for 2023s.

Starting to see some sacqatch with mic hard tops in the wild, around Omaha. Getting more hopeful on getting a build date. I ordered from Woodhouse 10/15/2021. Every time I see a new color I think that looks awesome. What I have coming is Outerbanks, 4 door, cactus grey, tow, lux, mic hard top, 2.7L, keyless, mod bumper. Just wondering about other local orders and any new build dates?

Man, you got all the deadly sins, but Woodhouse probably has a lot of allocation. I'm still waiting for my Grangtober MIC with tow based on my original reservation, and my newer soft top, minus tow from Meyer Ford out of Seward placed in January 2022.

@Altitude Looks like Zack from Granger posted an update and some info for Granger order holders if you didn't see it.

@sapper726 I did. I'm #272 on their list now, so probably another year or so. My plan is to get the soft top sooner and then trade it in or sale it for the Granger hard top order if I still wanted the hard top at the time, or if there were desirable changes for 2023.

I was a 7/16/20 reservation holder. Got my initial order in February 21 and did my re-order in October. 4dr, Base, Hard Top, HD Bumper, Aux Switches in Eruption Green. Just took delivery on 4/12/22.

Hopeful to see an increase in them in town. It is worth the wait and garners a ton of attention every time I am out in it.

My second Bronco from Baxter West just showed up today. November 21 order, no reservation

For those in the Omaha area, what was your shipping timeline like and was it rail or convoy?

Mine shipped via rail and, according to Ford customer service, is sitting at a Junction Point outside of Chicago. I am trying to figure out if it is moving to another train, moving to a truck for transport, etc.

Curious what everyone else's shipping experience was like.

I am still waiting. I am told it was built on 3/8 and has been sitting at a railyard outside of Chicago for well over two weeks now. I get zero answers on what is going on.

Just came across this thread. Mine is scheduled to be built next week. Ordered through Woodhouse south. Asked my sales guy a few times and have a couple emails stating other than a generic $299 paperwork fee, it will be MSRP. I asked about that fee and he said he even had to pay it as an employee. Gladly settle on paying $300 above MSRP.
mustanggarage
mustanggarage
yeah the document fee is universal. its on every new car I have ever bought. so I didn't whine when they added it to my order, I ordered from stivers in des moines. They promised msrp the final total of course is about 3,000 higher due to tax title license and doc fees.

I thought I’d provide a quick update regarding Woodhouse in Blair… I finally picked up my Badlands this week, with zero issues from a price perspective. I know there has been lots of negative press on surprise ADM, so I thought I’d pass along. See you on the road.

Some photogenic moments from our Christmas Trip to Jackson Wyo.

Many notes on Fuel and mileage (attached)

It likes to drink E10 quickly. I don't like to use E10 in anything really, but its hard to find a decent station that will not rake you over the coals for anything premium. Once in Wyo Premium (91 or 93) was over $4/gal almost uniformly so I chose 85. Honestly 85 performed better than our local 87 octane as well as e10. Very happy with the number considering its a rolling brick on 35's and I picked the 2nd most windy week possible to travel in Nebraska or Wyo.

I was the first Bronco Service at Jackson Hole Ford, which surprised me honestly and the Iconic Silver 2D Hard Top was an instant hit with the staff working that day. I am not biased, but yeah, me too! Added second part of Zinc Additive bottle for good break-in measure and ran Ford Syn. Blend.

Running in the Snow and Ice is honestly a walk in the park. I did use 4A in Slippery which is a great pedal program and shift schedule for the intended purpose. Getting to our main destination at Snow King/Aspen Hill there are some 10-30% grade changes in elevation in about 500' The Bronco took these in stride in 6-9" of packed snow. In Normal Mode we could break all 4 loose with light throttle, in Slippery its felt the dig, and crawled up with minor slip. Very impressed.

On Ice I will note that Normal mode and stopping can be something to be desired in 2H or 4A. In slippery the ABS functions more sensitive allowing for less slide.

Finally, overall our Base unit is absolutely enough for what we wanted in a tour vehicle and as heavy as we pack. I think Eco Mode is designed for in city/town as it only proved to perform with less mileage in interstate travel. Highway was debatable if different from Normal, but my head tells me it was still lower. Created two Top Leaks after first washing with manual wash wand. I am going to pop the front half and see if I can remedy but believe that the leak noise is from the back portion as I can see light when outside. No snow or wet penetrations at this point.

Power of the 2.7 is absolutely enough for this vehicle and even when we stopped on a scale in Wyo with my 260#, a nine year old and all of our load we tipped at 5220# tank at 3/4 Full. Ride was amazing and very comparable to my 2008/2017 Edges honestly. It drives great and without the FWD/AWD feel.

Stereo......Its not great but the more gain applied the better it seems to be. At low level listening its a few steps above terrible. I installed a spare shallow mount powered Rockford Sub I had from another truck. I secured it to the driver side rear trim panel under the C-pillar. Not the greatest placement in my opinion, but I was limited on time and didn't want it secured to the floor where it would get damaged or cause loading issues. Definitely an improvement over stock, but 4" speakers will be getting replaced sooner than later. The kick panel speaker appears to be Poly and actually provides decent bass response. I did the install to Speaker level input on drivers Kick panel woofer in about 3 hours start to finish and its very clean, but it could always have more.

Headed to Rapid City SD area this weekend for another small get away with friends and will update after that trip. I plan to take my ext cord this time and use my block heater for good measure.

***O yeah, I cant pull the trigger on Gatorback Mudflaps yet, but did get the ford Front and Rear molded for Xmas. Need to get those on this week before we leave. I feel bad for the paint about half way up each door driving anywhere with Rocks, Sand, sleet, snow, or pretty much everything that the factory Good Years grab, hold on to for 3 or 4 revs and then forcefully chuck out at hiway speed.

Great and informative update! Thanks for sharing. I have never used e10 before. My wife’s Toyota Sequoia does the flex fuel, but switching from e85 to regular was causing check engine lights. Took awhile for me to figure out it was the fuel. I’ll have to look into the e10, at least as a tertiary option if ever needed. So far my Bronco has met or exceeded my expectations. The stereo is barely par, but I read enough complaints that I expected it. It’ll be a summer upgrade especially when the top comes off. Stay safe on (and off) the roads and I hope to see you out there!

Observed 23.9 MPG on the SD trip. Broken Bow to Valentine with a tail wind cruise set at 71 mph. not too shabby for rolling brick with 35's
Picking it up Wednesday! Apparently, my Bronco arrived at Woodhouse over the weekend. According to my salesman, its the first eruption green Woodhouse has had arrive.

@leonw411 It will be nice to see some more Broncos on the road. Not hating on Jeeps (I used to have an old CJ-5) but the streets are saturated with Jeeps.

@grump73 . Howdy, I am from Salina area and would be happy to meet you all at Tuttle if you want to make a run down there. It's a pretty decent trail area, smallish. Also kind of scratchy branches in the trails if you're concerned about that. Last time I was up there (Black Friday), I noticed that some of the areas are getting torn up from a couple guys with rock buggies. But overall it has things for all skill/capability levels. My Base mansquatch got bumped again to 3/7. Hopefully it will be a go that time. Going to Moab for off-roadeo in April, would like to take the Bronco to run some other trails while we are there.

Please pardon my intrusion on your Nebraska group.

Sounds like fun. When we get something together we'll put it on here. Hope your Bronco gets to you on time!
Hello fellow Nebraska owners!
My Bronco will hopefully be showing up in December. Just wanted to put out some feelers for purchase / sales I will be looking to make.

I will be selling all 5 of my Base wheels/tires. $400 for the set
Also selling a set of 5 Ranger XLT Sport take-offs, no tires. 17" wheels that will fit the Bronco. $450 for the set

WIll be looking to purchase a full factory roof rail, and perhaps a modular bumper if anyone will be selling!
