Bronco enthusiasts and owners from the province of Ontario. Surrounding Neighbours welcome!
Chunggus
Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. I bought a 2023 Badlands SAS back in April (nicknamed Chunggus by my kids) and have since done a few tweaks, including:

Full PPF
Builtright Dashmount Cellphone Holder
Icon 4x4 Trail Sights

So far I love the truck and have a few more goodies in mind and on the way!

Quick question for everyone, has anyone gotten their vehicle undercoating for our harsh winters? Any recommendations for where to do it in Toronto?

Hi All, just joined this group. I love in the Toronto area and I have had my 22 wildtrak since August of 22. Loving the Bronco so far (except for the highway wind noise lol)

Here some of the mods I have do so far.
Fuel Rebel 6 20x9 silver finish
General grabber ATX 35x12.5x20
K&N cold air intake
Turbo smart blow off valve
JB4 running box
Bronco badges on fenders
Shorty antenna
Dirty dog headliner

I have been looking to swap to a hardtop for 8 months now. Seems to be impossible. I asked the dealer to quote me a hardtop purchase but haven't got a price yet. Seems like it will be very expensive.

Does this group do any meet ups or are there any Bronco events in The summer ?

Thanks

Hello everyone!

Am new to the Bronco6G Community and this group, seems like a great space. Bought a Badlands end of last year which we really love – such a cool rig.

As the case may be, and at some point, one can’t help playing with the thought of some minor upgrades. Therefore, I hope it’s ok to kick off with a question: Would anyone have a paint shop to recommend? Considering having some fender flares painted. I’m based in York Region so anything around there would be greatly appreciated, and also in the GTA.

Thank you

Welcome!!! Check out the Ontario Bronco club on Facebook as well. You should be able to find answers for the York region no problem between the two platforms.

@SurfsUp85 Thank you. Managed to stay off FB for all these years, looks like I may need to reconsider!

Hi all! Finally got my Bronco OB today ♥ so happy!
I wanted to write a little note to help anybody that’s looking to purchase a Bronco in Ontario. I feel like I should start with my personal background. I was in previously in a sales position with Mercedes-Benz for quite a few years. So, when I tell you that I have extensive knowledge of the Industry, the shady games and the process, plus my expectations from sales and service are very high, that is probably an understatement. I had visited about 5 dealerships in the GTA before driving all the way out to Hamilton. Every previous dealer I went to go see from Toronto to Burlington, I had the worst experiences with. Luckily I came to Airport Ford to test drive a 2 door bronco that they happen to have a demo available to drive. I was eventually planning on factory ordering when I found a dealer I liked. On my arrival at this dealer, I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Gracie in sales. The level of service I received from Steve is unparalleled. He was patient when listening to exactly what I wanted. Offered suggestions that made a huge difference in my order and benefitted me. And most of all he was honest. I placed my factory order with ease. He kept me informed as I waited for my build and send me all the info in real time. Once my vehicle arrived, I had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Chris Daley in the finance department. Again, I could not say enough good things about my experience. We talked about what products I wanted and were beneficial to me and which ones were not. Being from the same background, I knew exactly what I wanted. I was also expecting the typical “unnecessary products upsell”. That never happened. And then Forde finance didn’t want to honour my interest rate at the time of placing my factory order and Chris went to bat for me and made sure I got the interest rate I was promised six months ago. Every step of the way each member of this dealership that I dealt with was completely advocating for me, what I wanted and what was best for my situation. At no point did I ever feel as if they were trying to “pull one over” on me. Quite the opposite. Over the years, I’ve seen so many people being taken advantage of from sales people, and dealers. This will not happen with the people at Airport Ford Lincoln. Steve Gracie is the type of sales person that I would feel 100% comfortable with sending all my friends and family to and not feel like I had to be there for the process to make sure it went smooth. I would know that they were in good hands.
I have no affiliation with the dealership lol I just wanna make sure that if somebody’s looking to purchase a vehicle, they know where to go to find someone with integrity. So if you are looking at purchasing a Ford definitely call Steve Gracie in Hamilton at Airport Ford Lincoln. 😊

great looking bronco. i had ordered an area51 base with a +1yr delivery time but 18 days after ordering it my dealer contacted me to ask if my second colour choice(black) would be ok as someone had backed out of their deal with the same trim as my order. i think i might be the person with the shortest time between order and delivery on record(my area51 order still stands - i might flip into it when it arrives end of august).

If anyone around southern Ontario or further is looking for something to do this weekend but is not on Facebook, which means you haven't been getting the event info, there is a Bronco gathering this weekend in Grand Bend. Info below...

Grand Bend Herd Weekend announcement
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

DATE: September 9-11, 2022

1) Rooms at a discounted rate are set aside for anyone to reserve at the Oakwood Inn. With that being said, feel free to stay anywhere you'd like.
(Please ask to speak to Sammy)

Outing day 1
Our go to snack, meal, drinks location will be at the Growling Gator
(Friday evening 7pm for those arriving Friday)
(Saturday evening 8pm after the show and shine & Bronco convoy to Rosie's Ice Cream Shoppe in Bayfield)

Event 1:
Saturday all day SHOW AND SHINE car show at the Oakwood Inn grounds -no entry fee 12am - 4pm
- Prizes will be awarded to some Broncos that really stand out (graciously offered by Ken Knapp Ford in Essex, ON)
- We will be raffling off a $100 Ford Accessories gift card from Ken Knapp Ford that can also be used for online or over the phone purchases through the dealer. $2 per ticket.

Event 2:
BRONCO CONVOY along the lake to Bayfield for ice cream and hangout at Rosie's Ice Cream Shoppe.
(We will head out at 5pm on Saturday for roughly a 90 minute outing)

Outing day 2:
The Growling Gator for a late dinner (8pm)

Your assembly blend date is this Wednesday (07/27). Your best bet to keep track of your order is to use the
https://ordertrack.app/ website.

It’ll ask you for your VIN and order number and it’ll let you check the status of your order. Your order number is B200 based on your window sticker and your VIN is located on the sticker as well.

Hi everyone, my name is Dana and I am a producer at a production company shooting a video for Ford this Saturday in Etobicoke in the Islington / QEW area.

http://www.thebokehcollective.com

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to rent us their Bronco for a studio shoot. Any 2022 version will do. The video is for a Ford event in Dearborn early next month and we are filming a series of vintage cars up to modern day versions. As you all know getting hands on a Bronco and Mach-E has been challenging. Even Ford itself is having trouble getting us one so I am reaching out to the community. You will be compensated and gas paid for your trip. We would only need the car for maximum 6 hours (12:30 to 7:30 latest) this upcoming Saturday (May 21st).

Also ... if there are any of you that may know any Mach-E owners - we are seeking out that unicorn as well. I have made a request in another forum, but figured I should also ask that question here.

If you are interested please reach out by email ([email protected]) with a picture and let's talk.

Thank you!

May you’re already aware of this, but you can remote start via the app regardless of which package you have. However I’m sure there’s a way to add a physical remote starter too.

Any recommendations for some trails? Although I am not new to Canada anymore, Covid and bronco delays kept me at home most of the time. I am looking for some off-road trails so recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Around the south Ontario Michigan area I've found:

St Helen's sand pit
St Helen's sandy flats
St Helen rocks
Silver Lake sand dunes
Raglan

All these are on Google maps to give you a better idea. I like the variety and plan to visit some if not all this summer.

Hello everyone. I have an important question. With our Canadian winters and the window apparently going down 1/4 of an inch or so when you open the doors on the Bronco, will this cause a problem opening the doors when the windows frozen shut? Has anyone had experience with this? I haven’t received mine yet, but wondering how much of an issue it may be. Thanks in advance… Bill.

Thank you very much for your response. It is much appreciated. May I ask, what you mean by wipe area?
SurfsUp85
SurfsUp85
So I made sure all winter to scrape my windows, especially along the bottom at the rubber so that the window was not frozen to the rubber trim. I keep my scraper in the back tailgate area and every morning I did this routine. It worked very well. I have a soft top, live in Windsor and have no garage. So between that and auto start, no issues.

Hi All,
Glad to be here. Received my Bronco (4dr Wildtrak, Black, MIC) Sep 21. Have made minor mods:
- satin wrap
- BFG 35s KO2
- side steps
In hindsight, given the terrain here, Badlands would have been a better option. Was in too much of a hurry to put down my order, needed a car in a hurry. LOL! Little did I know how much of a delivery delay there would be. Oh well, it’s not the end of the world. Still a massively capable truck.

Have tried my hand at other mods such as cargo security drawer, off-road lights and Bestop, they have all been very disappointing.

Been meaning to join a Canadian Bronco club to connect with other owners and enthusiasts. Finally did it! Are you guys enjoying this beast?

I'm in South Niagara near the Falls. I'm in total love with our 2dr CG Baldands. It's a stickshift, which feels fantastic. I pretty much only drive stick if I have my choice.

That aside, I'm super surprised how under the radar it seems to be. I see Jeeps all of the time and I notice when one is looking at me but it's rare, or I'm being ignored, haha. I'm fine with that, tbh. I have other cars that grab too much attention for my liking so it's nice to go less noticed than I had expected.

I've gotten a a couple waves from Jeeps, but I've only run into maybe 4 Broncos while I was driving mine and only 2 seemed to care about what they were driving.

Either way, welcome aboard. Congrats! Hope you love it, I'm sure you will.

I'm enjoying my OBX big time. I'm in a bronco club and we have fun as often as we can getting together.

I agree though, I think badlands would have been unreal. I toy with the idea of building one to upgrade in a year or two.

My upgrades this summer will be focused on overlanding

I did a makeshift that worked okay.

This is the one grabbed. I adjusted the bracket, can't remember if I had to drill the bracket for a tighter fit. Then I affixed to the recovery hook and used heavy grade Tye Wrap to get it level. Been working great for 3 months. If I need the recovery hook I remove 1 nut and cut the zip tyes. I keep extra zip tyes in the rear cubby.
