Hi
I’M new to the group. I just bought a 2023 bronco big bend.
does anyone have any suggestions on how to not have the bronco slip on snow? It has the factory tires, but the times I’ve had it on snow it has slipped , in slippery mode.

We're hosting a run in Central Oregon called Broncos on the Butte. It will be a day run (potentially a snow run) at Edison Butte OHV. If you've never been on this trail or Central Oregon to wheel, here Is your chance. Trail rating Is difficult to estimate, but in the summer I'd say it's a 6 out of 10. In the winter with snow It can vary greatly (little bit of snow could be easier, lots of snow, harder).
After the Edison Butte Run, we will be gathering at Boneyard Pub (1955 NE Division St, Bend, OR 97701) for beers, food, and raffle. If you don't want to do the run, no worries! We'd love to have you at Boneyard to have a beer with your Bronco Brotheren. We estimate to be back by 7:30pm
So far we have Metal Tech and Technique Vehicle Outfitters sponsoring swag, but more to come. For details and updates, follow the link:
Great drive today to the Green Mountain and Goat Mountain area. We started in Molalla and I was afraid we’d hit more dead ends. I had heard there were a lot of closed gates coming from the west side. We only ended up turning around twice. From the north side of Green Mountain there was a spectacular view. We could see all the way to downtown Portland. By the time we got to the top of Goat Mountin the weather had come in and we could barely see down to Clear Lake. Be aware it’s a wicked steep drop down to the lake. Then we drove down to the lake. It’s a very pretty lake and I’d love to come back in the summer. Unfortunately there was a lot of trash everywhere we went. We picked up what we could. I had hoped to run into some snow so we may go back up if we do get a little snow. Both the road to the top of Goat Mountain and to Clear Lake are pretty rough, perfect for the Broncos. I have the Gaia tracks if someone wants to replicate the journey. @WillRCTID@OregonMike@SkiRig@adampdx
A group of Bronco owners got together to try some trails at Browns Camp in the Tillamook Forest. The first trail was University Firepower and I have no idea how it got its name. The one hill certainly got our Broncos bucking. And entertained the crowd. We then headed up Cedar Tree Trail and it too was fun. Now these trails aren't exceptionally difficult for a Bronco, even the locker-less member of our team had no issues. The challenge is the narrowness of the trails in some areas. It's a game of not touching, sort of a messed up version of the Operation game (if you're a certain age you'll get the reference). And it's just nice to get out into nature... with the windows rolled up and the AC going. The haziness is due to wildfire smoke, this time it's being imported from Canada.
Forscan help in Portland? After 2yrs of waiting I finally got my Bronco Bandlands. Would like to meet up with someone that has Forrscan to: eliminate the double honk, sport mode, and raptor style headlights. Happy to compensate for the assistance.
Kinda short notice, but some of us are getting together to check out a couple of the Bronco Trail App 'curated trails' in Tillamook State Forest, out near Browns Camp OHV on Sunday 8/20. So far, it'll be me, @WillRCTID@SkiRig and @swooshdave, and we'd be happy to have more local people join us.
The plan is to meet at the Starbucks on Brookwood Parkway in Hillsboro (5222 NE Brookwood Pkwy, Hillsboro, OR 97124) at 8am, grab a coffee or whatever and something to eat, get acquainted with folks we don't know yet etc. and then head out to Browns Camp OHV staging area (Scoggins Creek Rd). I figure we'll roll out from the staging area by 9:15 or so, once everyone's aired down and we have radios set.
The University Firepower and Cedar Tree trails are what we're going to check out, since University Firepower starts at Browns Camp and ends at the beginning of Cedar Tree (at least according to the Bronco Trail app, FWIW).
Message me here if you want to join us and we'll get a list going.
7/29 - We'll meet outside of Battleground WA, and cruise west to east through the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. I have a fire lookout mapped out to check out, a primitive campground, and lots of various off-shoots to check out. Then we'll make our way through Carson and Cascade Locks for lunch and beer. Message me here or on IG @pnw.bronco. I'll add you to a list and send more details as we get closer.
I'm looking for a member with a Black Diamond who's willing to do a grill swap with me. My grill in in perfect condition with no damage.
I live in Sherwood, OR and need to do the swap at my house since I need to remove the winch to do a swap. I'll have the winch and grill removed from my Bronco on your arrival, so it will be fast and painless for you.
Please comment here or fire me a text at 503-939-9122 if interested.
Hello all. Thinking I’m gonna hit the University Falls trail tomorrow for my first off road outing as it is supposed to be easy so should be a good start. Anyone here been out there?
Great day out with @OregonMike and @SkiRig! Incredible views of the mountain, and delicious beer at Gorges Beer in Cascade Locks on the way back. Glad you were able to join today, @SkiRig. We'll do it again soon!
@OregonMike and I are going to be checking out some of the area between Zig Zag and Hood River on Saturday morning, hopefully ending with a beer in Hood River. Let me know if you're interested in joining and I can send over the details.
I'm headed out to Frederick Butte in Central Oregon tomorrow for a overnighter and historical stuff find. Also do some Youtube filming for my channel. If anyone would like to join, let me know. A good meet spot is posted below. I'll bring you a club sticker too!
Another teaser. When I get back from vacation I'll post a pic. I never thought in my wildest dreams i'd ever own a bronco. Being tall I don't fit all that well In the older Broncos. I've wanted a bronco since I learned how to drive. And I'm also new to off roading so this vehicle is a big help with confidence.
