in my anticipation of the arrival of my new Bronco I purchased Ford mud flaps. What I didn’t realize is that they won’t fit my truck with factory rock rails. Rather than having to pay to ship them back I am selling them for $100 for local pick up in S Tacoma

Well, it's happened. As I was grumping about my day at work, I happened to check my phone to find I had an email from Ford. I'm scheduled for a week of July 25th build date! Excitement has been renewed! Bring it on!

HI! Just came across this group. I didn't know there was another in the Puget Sound area. YAY! I'm active in the PNW Bronco group and invite ya'll to join that as well.
After a LONG 521 day wait, I got to pick up my CO 21 BadSquatch in Texas on December 29th and we drove it 2822 miles home. Epic Bronco roadtrip! Since picking it up, I have hit the beach (topless even), mud, water, rocks and camped. This thing is a BEAST! I love it so much. I have a few mods done. In fact, it's in the shop today getting the leveling kit installed. I'm waiting for someone to come out with a hidden winch for the modular bumper for the 2.7. Looking at the JCR rear bumper that puts the spare on the bumper rather than the tailgate.
Planning on hitting the BDR trails this year and get away from it all.
Hope to meet you on the trails soon!

Hi everyone! I just ordered a base Bronco in November & look forward to going to some meetups/events in the Seattle area/PNW. I just hope my old Mazda3 which I've had 15 years keeps running before the Bronco eventually gets built.

Welcome @SEA_Bronco! Thus far, we've done a few meetups in the Seattle area and hoping to plan some more as Bronco's arrive to their owners. If you get a chance, checkout The PNW Bronco Group as its much more active then this one. Looking forward to meeting you!

@NeoS281 Thanks Jared! Looking forward to meeting others in the area too. I'm from the Midwest (Chicago area originally) & it's not been the easiest meeting folks in Seattle. I made sure to join that group too. I just have a little Mazda3 now, but I'll definitely join some of the events when my base comes in.

@SEA_Bronco Welcome to the PNW! I spent a lot of time in the Midwest (Minneapolis) a few years ago for work and I love it there. Mazda 3 is a fun little hatchback...my best friend had one that he would let me drive from time to time. Let me know if you ever need any restaurant or other types of recommendations. I used to live in Capitol Hill & Wallingford but have since relocated to the Eastside in Bellevue.

@NeoS281 Thanks! I have family actually originally from the St. Louis Park area, I grew up in the Chicago suburbs & then lived in SoCal for a few years after college before coming up here 3 years ago. Unfortunately, it is just the Mazda3 S 4-dr sedan. It does have the bigger 2.3L 4-cylinder but now it is getting such awful gas mileage in the city when I'm driving in Seattle a lot more (Bronco probably won't be far off but a lot more fun). Can't wait for the hybrid Mav XL on order that will be my new daily. Haven't had a new car ever & will only be my 2nd car ever lol. I haven't been to as many restaurants as I'd like to, been cooking at home a lot more the past 2 years. If you have any good Central/North Seattle or Lynnwood recommendations like your top 3 I'd definitely be interested. I like all types of food. I do tend towards the more budget vs. fine dining establishments.
Alright! Today I had the opportunity to take Korum ford's wildtrak for a spin and I gotta say, I'm pumped once again! Tire noise was less than expected, the soft top quieter than expected, the ride around town very pleasant. Touch screen was responsive and accurate, handling and acceleration were fantastic. I'm a shorter guy at 5'6", but getting in and out of it wasn't as much of a climb as I thought it might be with the extra height from the sasquatch package.

Now, I do have to say that the dash mounted grab handles seem a bit meh as far as strength and durability goes. Could be more sturdy.

I didn't go full in depth with digging through every aspect of their demo bronco because I had a limited time to drive it and feel it out and I wanted to focus on that.

All in all, I was not disappointed at all and left the dealership with a grin on my face. September can't come fast enough so I can check out MY22 options and tweak my order!

@427Comet a good move, I'd say! Enjoy it when you get behind the wheel! As many have reviewed, the seating is a rather upright and I noticed that compared to my usual slouched seating in my 98 Tacoma, but I wasn't uncomfortable at all. Really rode well!
Didn't stop in to check it out so I'm unsure if it's a mannequin or customer delivery, but I spotted what looked to be a 4 door soft top at Fugate Ford in Enumclaw. I was on my way home after a morning hike at Rainier so didn't really want to stop and find out.

Kendall Ford in Marysville has a Cyber Orange 4DR 2.3L Auto Mid Badlands Soft Top available test drives right now. Dwayne Lanes Skagit Ford has a 4DR Big Bend Sasquatch that will be ready for test drives sometime next week. Not sure if 2.3L or 2.7L or if it has a mid package.

By any chance have any of you heard that Bickford Ford in Snohomish will have 2 Broncos for display in 3 weeks, a 2 door and 4 door , a buddy of mine has his reservation there and his salesmen told him this. Timing sounds about right for the pre-production coming out.

@B-Wolf - Have you seen confirmation of your conversion on the Ford website in your account - my dealer swears they have converted mine - and that it takes a while to show in my Ford account settings - but after two weeks and a call to Ford today - they have confirmed - that my reservation has not been converted to an order - was wondering if maybe you saw the same thing, or if I need to get on the phone and get this sorted.
B-Wolf
Let me check, but I don’t think so. When I converted, I wanted the rock sliders and tailgate tray/table, but it wasn’t available on the Ford site, (it could be done at the dealership), so we discussed holding off for a bit to see if it became available. I’ll check and see...
Hello:) Any idea how sas perform in winter and highway? Did you go with sas?

I did order a Sasquatch. I'm not entirely sure how it will do in the snow but something tells me I won't be disappointed.
Joker352
I too am getting a Squatch, and I am most certain that I will enjoy every bit of it. Looking at the technical specs, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't do well in winter conditions. As for highway, it's going to be a bit on the noisy side with those 35'' mud-terrain tires, but that's hardly a problem for many. As for handling, I expect even the shorter wheelbase of the two door will handle far better than most Jeep Wranglers do on the highway. That's mostly due to the independent front suspension set-up vs the Jeeps drag-link steering and such. All in all, I expect this new Bronco will be a fantastic multi-purpose truck.

That's what I meant to say.. I cant wait for my 2 door squatch.

I got my confirmation on my spot on the Bowen List and the # of allocations. I am solidly in the middle so I am feeling good. Bowen is giving everybody a call directly so I don't want to cause more problems for them so I will let them tell you the number of allocations and where you sit in line. Good job Bowen staff. I look forward to driving my Bronco out of your lot when the time comes. I think I will sign-off for a bit now everything is out of my control.

My reservation is with Ford of Kirkland, I emailed them and asked how many reservations they had and what their allocation was. They replied and said

" Bronco reservations will go in sequence, it will not be affected by our dealership allocation. Once your reservation is converted to ordered, Ford will provide all the updates for you when you log into your Ford account. "

Being as we all just got an email from Ford saying that it was a factor its not a great start with them. They were more of a place holder in the mean time any how. Has anyone else had any conversations with them on their reservations and allocation?

Just got a call from Frontier Ford in Anacortes to come in and place my order on Jan. 20. They are selling at MSRP, with no powertrain lifetime warranty, like Bowen. Should I switch?

Ok, I re-watched the mod top OBX video... and now I kinda want to wait for that. I’ve already been waiting for years anyway.

I'm going with the BL 4DR in A51 with Lux and Sas packages. I will convert next week and then let the card land where they land. I do have a second res that I'm going to use to place a MY22. I will keep which ever one I like the most. I might even get the white top of the MY22 and swap the MIC of the MY21 to make my dream Bronco and then sell the MY22 with MIC top.

For those going Sasquatch: If Ford offered the manual with Squatch (apparently they are testing it) would you go manual or stay with the auto?
Why?
Automatic seems to be better for actual rock climbing/serious offroad, but are there any advantages to having a manual if you are doing rock climbing?

I have always been natural asperated engine guy and this will be my first venture into turbo. I read that lag can be annoying and that engine stale thing hopefully can be disabled but overall I read good things about the 2.7l.
t3n2and4
t3n2and4
@grewhi the low end torque on these modern turbos has really been great. All our cars since 06 have been Turbo and it has worked really well. The 05 F150 with the 5.4 feels super sluggish by comparison to the 2.0L angry turbo in the VW.
Joker352
@grewhi From what I've been hearing about the engines offered in the Bronco, there is some lag on the 2.3, but once the boost hits, it really hits. I've seen reports that it's a rather 'peaky' engine, in that the power stabs quick at higher revs. Mind you these are accounts of people having test driven the current Ranger. The 2.7 on the other hand, seems to have a fairly wide power band and less lag. Not as sudden onset of power. You're going to get lag with most any turbo setup, but as t3n2and4 said, modern turbocharged engines are quite good at keeping lag to a minimum.

If you're going with the automatic, I don't think you'd have to worry too much about lag. The manual on the other hand, you may have to fiddle with shift points to get a feel for it.
grewhi
It there any worries about reliability? I have had friends who's turbos die and they basically throw away there car. Of course this was long ago, I am guessing things have improved. That is one of the reasons I'm going with the lifetime warranty at Bowen.
t3n2and4
t3n2and4
@grewhi I’ve never had a turbo failure on mine. I know someone who had an expensive repair on an MKT with the 3.5, but those are anecdotes mine was good his wasn’t. It’s one more spinny part. I’m not sure how reliability can be answered in a clear empirical way. Both engines have been used on other lines for a while, so you can check into them for common trouble spots and things to check.

I have a 1986 F150 Flareside, 4x4, manual (that I drove off the showroom floor, btw). I love it, but also like the convenience of automatic transmission. Either way is fine...I will go with less expensive..
Any of you soon to be Kraken fans? (shout out to WhatsKraken) I am a season ticket holder so pretty pumped. I just happen to notice 2 of the team colors looks pretty similar to 2 of the Bronco colors. What do you think? I can actually make a BronKraken.
