I know there are some folks from the Sacramento area - I'm in Natomas - who else is in (or near) the 916? Where's the first place you're gonna take your Bronco off the pavement?

Gold Country Broncos Eagle Lakes trail/Pierce OHV Clean up and Trail Run June 3rd 2023 - This is a cross post from Facebook. I will update it as we get closer to the date. This should be pretty fun day as the trail has a good obstacle Driveline Hill. Gold Country Broncos adopted Eagle Lakes trail/Pierce OHV. Looking to try and do cleans up after every major holiday weekend but starting with June 3rd! This is the first one so it is a work in progress. This will be a no vehicle limit run if we break out in groups.
9:15am leaving Raleys in Auburn
10:00am Arrival and de-airing
10:30am Start trail run with Pierce OHV and conduct clean up at restroom area.
Work will be cleaning any visible trash and a couple of stops along the way to clean up common camping areas. Some trimming of brush(clearing sticks that can go through windows) and maybe moving a log or two (if someone is making a bypass our job it to winch a log over and block it). Don't forget to have fun! With enough people this really is more of a trail run than clean-up.
I have done this with Fresno 4WD the key is breaking down into a couple of groups each with a specific area. I am also trying to break the trail down into Easy, Medium and Hard. Weather should be good and most of the snow melted (we are picking up the trash accumulated over winter). Hopefully group 3 section will be Bronco Sport Friendly(Gold Country is a Bronco Club so Sports or anything with a Bronco Badge is accepted).
Group 1 will be chainsaws/brush crew and will have the clean up from Fordyce Trail to eagle lake. They will leave while the other two groups clean the restroom area.
Group 2 will have roughly a 1/2 Mile past the fork 12E46 and 13E10 intersection to Fordyce trail. This includes Driveline Hill (real wheeling! possible damage, google "Driveline Hill Fordyce") and a few Camping areas.
Group 3 will have from the Restrooms to 1/2 Mile past fork 12E46 and 13E10. Fork in the road is a common camping and repair vehicle area. LOTS OF TRASH at the 12E46 and 13E10!
Hola! I won't bury the lede: does anyone have any off-road recovery options for Cow Mountain or have a winch and want to help a Bronco brother out?
We've been on the road 7 months pulling our travel trailer from Colorado to Idaho, down to Mexico and back up to northern California. We are staying in Healdsburg until the end of February. We wheel most Saturdays in a new location and today was supposed to be a chill day at South Cow. 1.5 miles in on the east entrance of Trail 17 we took a banked left turn and were met with slope of slick clay. We got the Bronco down and turned around to not get any further in and are now stuck. We spent 1.5 hours digging out with all our recovery gear (no winch) and had to leave it behind.
A few people have asked about Gold Country Broncos and any events planned, since everything with the group up until now has been coordinated through Facebook. I've got good news - the group finally has a standalone website!
The plan is to make sure all events posted to FB are mirrored to the site. And site members are free to post events as well.
Gold Country Broncos at www.goldcountrybroncos.com
For those that don't use Facebook. Gold Country Bronco's has created a website now with links to events, a calendar, discount codes, forums for local shops and builds, off-road advise, etc. Check it out https://www.goldcountrybroncos.com/
Is this the place where Nor Cal Bronco people are communicating or is there a website - I do not have any Social Media...? I do not see anything on the "Gold Country" Club site... But no new posts here and possible Bronco meet and greet 12/3 at Prairie City? Sorry I am just trying to figure this all out #painfuloldpeople!
Hey everyone - not sure how many of you are on Facebook - but there's a great group you can join - Gold Country Broncos - we've got a meet and greet happening at Prairie City on 12/3 - feel free to check out the group, join (no obligations LOL) and meet up with some of us! There will be a variety of experience levels, so this is a good opportunity to learn how to use your Bronco in a safe and controlled environment with other people around to help, or just hang out and meet other enthusiasts!
this is the link for the group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/504030094727180
Here's the specific event link: (If you're going to go, please use the respond option to indicate if you're going or not - the organizer is planning to get pizza)
Hope to see some of you soon!! Here's a couple pics from a recent outing with the group:

So the only administrator for this club was banned…. I’m going to create a new group “Sacramento Bronco Club” feel free to come over. My goal is to get people together and go enjoy the outdoors, in the new ride.
Going to get out tomorrow with the kiddos. Anyone want to go on a mild-moderate Bronco adventure? I’ll have my two little girls with me. Thinking of heading up 50, or 80. Hopefully something with some water at the end for a swim. I’m open to anything. Feel free to DM me if you want to roll. I’ll shoot you my number over message.
July 16th 9th Signal Peak Day Trip? I am new to the area and this is one of the easier trails I have found. Trail should be doable in a stock Bronco, I will most likely be in my Big Bend with no lockers.
