Hello All ... New guy here. And I'll just get it out that I work with Damerow Ford in Beaverton, Oregon. I was wondering if we could host some Bronco get-togethers at our new facility. Would you be interested in stopping in? I'll get a local tire guy and local shop that can do up fits along with a master tech of our own. We are the number one volume dealership in the PNW and have the president's award for back-to-back years, were the real deal. I personally own a 2024 two-door, and my wife has a sport, so I can say I'm drinking the Kool-Aid too. What do you think?

I'll be at the Dick's Drive in Federal Way (The Commons) at noon and at the Lake City location some time just after 1 depending on traffic this coming Saturday, the 10th. No need to buy a t-shirt, just come out and have a burger and meet other local Bronco people.

Never know about traffic. 1:30 is a realistic time probably.

A small to medium size group of us will head up the North Fork Road on Saturday. We'll meet at the QFC in North Bend at 10:00 a.m. and leave at 10:15. Easy run, mostly splashing through puddles. Hoping to find some residual snow.

Oh man. There was a FB event going to Beverly Dunes Saturday too. I was thinking about heading that way this weekend, as I haven’t been there.

Had a good time, the weather cooperated too.

So they closed the Fairfax Bridge over the Carbon River indefinitely. An inspection found deficiencies due to corrosion and they have already put two other restrictions on it since 2005. Is that the only access to the Evans Creek trails?

Just saw that and asked the same question over on the PNW Broncos Facebook Page. There are a few gravel roads on the map to the southwest, but they all appear to be on private forestry land. Hopefully someone knows of a way in.

There is no public access to Evans Creek with the bridge closed. Total bummer.

Any trips being planned? (For those of us without facebook)

I was off FB for years, but this is a good reason to get back on. PNW Broncos on F B is a great group and something happens almost every weekend

@Acadist About 7 years ago, I cancelled my facebook account. It turns out that you are "one and done" for having an account in your lifetime. I tried and they will not let me have an account again. The messages I get from them look like they banned me for life, but I never did anything wrong, except delete my account. Soooo, no facebook for me.

@Acadist I actually tried, it didn't work. Then I tried making one for my dad, it didn't work either. They must have some kind of IP tracking. I was on a Porsche tour a couple of weeks ago and there was a guy who worked for facebook, he said there are no humans to go to for a fix.

I'm just about always up for a trip out to Tahuya. The wife and I were out there Sunday and had a great time. It's perfect for my current skill level, which is probably in the novice to intermediate range.

yo! new bronco owner here in Seattle. 2024 big bend 4 door. been having a great time doing easy trails and taking it to the mountains to snowboard on the weekend. Upgraded my tires to falken wildpeak at4's 285 75 17. threw some rock rails on, and a hand full of other small mods. still a lot more to go but I'd love to make it to some of these rad events you guys put on. see you out there! 4,000 miles done since i bought it in Jan!

Tahuya just outside Belfair on the peninsula is a lot of fun. Requires a Discovery Pass. I've navigated every trail I've tried with my 2-door WT so far, but a 4-door having a larger turning circle and break over angle might have some additional challenges. So far, I've avoided the trail named "Door Bender", but I'm dying to try it. I'm in south Kent on the east hill about 200 yards from the "Entering Auburn" sign. If you want to head out there sometime, let me know.

4 Door OEM soft top. 2021 model, someone slashed two of the windows and I replaced the whole thing with a rampage trailview.
OEM struts/springs from 2021 4 door black diamond

Hooke Road soft top cargo shelf. Used, really solid and covers the whole cargo area. Was great for stopping people looking into the trunk and giving a shelf to carry stuff on. $100?

RucRak spare tire rack bundle. Instead of the top shelf I have their Molle panel upgrade instead. Great system that allows you to distribute the weight of the rack to the hitch. $400?

Interested in snagging the soft top C pillar trim pieces and the latch points in the trunk area if you’re willing to separate?

No I really want to get rid of the thing lol.

Ok. We'll meet at the Safeway at 9:00 and leave soon after for the Ranger Creek Airfield. It's a great place to set up a fire and be social. There are trails that leave from there to higher ground and deeper snow. (hopefully snow on ground for us at lower elevation).
Bring your firewood, your recovery gear, warm clothes and food and drink.
22 vehicles last time, we can do better.

@jag2440 No skill required. Just a cruise to a snow covered area to have a fire and be social. Some will break off in small groups to go higher into the hills. The pic above is where we'll be, 1/4 mile from the highway. Come meet some fellow Bronco enthusiasts. Lots of nice people.

It's gonna be cold, be prepared. We'll leave the parking lot at 09:15. Looks to be about 15 Broncos or so, more if some of the "maybes" show up.

Headed up to the Ranger Creek Airport off of Highway 410 to play in the snow with a bunch of Broncos this coming Sunday. We'll meet at the Enumclaw Safeway at 8:45 and leave at 9. 15 Broncos signed up so far.
Bring your recovery stuff, your air down and back up stuff, a radio, warm clothes, food and all that.

Hi guys, new to the group. Where are some of the best places in the PNW (trails) to drive my bronco to test the hero switches?

Avoid this service department - (also posted this on PNW FB page)

I have had service done at Bill Pierre Ford in Lake City several months ago and it did not go all that well - they left my Bronco short on oil (left it 1.5 quarts low) which I found when I got home, said they could not rotate 5 tires - they only could do a 4 tire rotation (seemed odd at the time), and would not address the seatbelt recall because they had no documentation how to actually do it (its plastic clips a chimpanzee can do this). With that - I left them a 3 star review as feedback and moved on with life. Fast forward to this weekend - and I found my front diff leaking and made an appointment with this same service dept to have it covered (should be a simple warranty repair to swap out the seals) - This AM I get this text message from the Service Manager - telling me - they will not work on my Bronco - apparently because I left them less than wonderful feedback for their previous work.
Sent this to Ford Corporate, they already have a case open for me - but wow - what a pathetic response.

wow! thanks for letting us in that area know. That dealership is just down the road from me but I took my Bronco 30 miles away (to Bickford Ford in Snohomish) for my first oil change because they had the best price in the area ($89) and rotated all 5 of my wheels and did the work with basically no wait.

@misterspivey I'm with you. It's a drive but I try to use Bickford of Ford of Kirkland. It was alot easier when Bickford had service hours on Saturdays.

@OrangecrushBronco Getting lots of feedback - that Bickford is really good both here and others - will have to give them a shot next time - I grew up that way - a good excuse to head back up there for sure.

Yep, they're the WORST. Bunch of idiots. I've used another one of their dealerships and they can't even do oil changes correctly. Leaving magnetic lights in the engine bay, spilling oil, not tightening the oil filter so that oil is leaking. For years I wouldn't use them but figured maybe new crew could get things better but nope. Same thing when I used to take in the Shelby spilled oil all over the engine bay and front fascia, evidence of joy riding with tire dust on the back and it always ran hotter for a couple days after picking it up. They also don't know anything about Bronco TSB's and can't find them when I tell them. They don't even know how to do the window adjustments when they're loose and rattling.

Why would you go back?

@Tippster I was going to recommend making a post on the PNW Facebook forum to inform other local members about your experience @ Bill Pierre Ford and saw that you already had. Thanks for informing the community. It's useless to leave reviews on the dealers' websites because they delete the reviews they don't like. What I do is leave reviews on the forums and then send a copy to the dealer to let them know what kind of reviews I've been posting.

It has ~ 200" of snow on Baby shoe pass right now according to the snow depth map in Gaia, I think its just seasonally closed.

I figured it was weather or fires that closed it but the person who posted on onX said it was perm closed..

Has anyone verified which rail yard they go to when shipped to Puget Sound area WA? I've seen some mention the BNSF one in Renton and the Union Pacific one in Kent. The tracker saying "arrived in Kent" would suggest the UP one, but I'm seeing a lot of Chevys and GMCs there. Maybe the Fords are buried a bit. The tracker saying BNSF has been pulling it this whole time would suggest Renton, and I saw at least a bunch of Jeeps there, but the fence makes it difficult to find Fords.

I'm sure you can see why I'm conflicted so if anyone knows what their yard was, I'd love to know.

Yesterday I looked around both. The Kent one was looking pretty barren and no rail cars sitting in there. I also couldn't see any Ford vehicles still. At the Renton one, there were some rail cars, but I didn't see ours since I'm sure the graffiti is just on one side and the cars can be brought in side by side. I also didn't see any Fords since the side facing the sidewalk only had Subarus, Jeeps, Chryslers, and Toyotas. The Fords are probably on the other side behind the rail cars

Just called the tracker and got a "placed at customer location" status (10:17 pm last night). Maybe now I can find it. I'll take another look today.

I confirmed that none of the cars that I can see at the Kent yard were a part of the train. I took a video of the whole train and wrote down all of the numbers, so none of those numbers are at Kent. Today, I'm going to the Renton yard and seeing if I can find a car number there.
I also got the status today of "Cleared, Released by customer (3/30 9:22pm)" so it sounds like the Bronco should be unloaded from the car and maybe now I can catch a glimpse.

Just want to say Hi to everyone. Purchased a used '21 Black Diamond, 2dr, 2.3 Manual.
Already started the mods, with the Eibach Pro Truck coil overs, OME front upper control arms, a set of take-off oem steelies and a set of 255/85R176 MT Baja Boss A/Ts.
Plenty more to come..!

Snow Wheeling Sunday March 3

We finally have snow for snow wheeling, my buddy and I are going to go snow wheeling Sunday March 3 on Tonga Ridge. Let me know if you're interested in joining.

Sounds like fun! Tons of snow coming but we're crazy busy this weekend so I'll catch the next one.

We had a great time, the conditions were reasonable good and we go into some deep snow!

Was a blast and great photos! Even getting heckled by the guys in dedicated rigs was fun

Hello PNW Bronco group!
I am eagerly awaiting my Bronco arrival in the next few weeks.

My wife told me about a Bronco meet up in Florence, OR in August. She is booking our summer camping reservations for the coast.

Is this group associated with the meetup in Florence?

I went last year and it was fun. Great group of people and welcoming of all gens but the show portion is only geared toward gens 1-5

My brother has a ‘73 and has gone multiple times and says it’s a good time. My wife loves that part of the coast so we are definitely considering it. Is it just me or does the link only take you to 2023 registration that is closed.

@Acadist yeah last year it just showing 2022 and 2023 only opended fir a small window shortly before the event. I went to the website and emailed them. They were responsive and helped me get registered.

The reservation window is open now for Honeyman Memorial State Park for the Northwest Roundup Week/weekend. I just reserved Aug 13-18th. You can reserve a site now and cancel or change your reservation later if your plans change. I think a small fee to reserve or cancel. I know the OR coast in the summer time is a hard ticket to get. My friend and I are doing a snow wheeling trip this upcoming weekend and wanted to open it up to Bronco6G peeps. We are meeting Saturday, Corrected (Dec 16) 10:00 AM outside the Naches Tavern in Greenwater and heading back Sunday. There is a spot with an amazing Rainier Mountain view we are hoping to get to (pic with the Tacoma, pre bronco rig) If you are interested in going but don't have snow wheeling experience that's not a problem as long as your willing to listen and learn.

I have been snow wheeling for a few years now and have ~15-20 trips experience. I have never had an issue with getting unrecoverably stuck . I go out equipped: multiple vehicles, winch, snatch blocks, extra winch line, traction boards, hard and soft shackles, tree savers, shovels, lots of warm gear, multiple sleeping bags, good clothing, satellite coms, etc.

Things you need to have

Min tire size of 33" tires, 35" recommended, Sasquatch height or higher.
Willing to air down to 6-10 PSI. I have personally ran the stock Sasquatch wheel and tire combo at 6-8 psi in the snow. If your not comfortable getting into the single digits in the snow then it may be a really difficult trip. You do have to be aware of how you drive even in soft snow at this pressures, you may even have to reseat a bead or switch to a spare. It is really hard to understate how important really low pressures are in the snow!
A shovel.
Good attitude, the trip may contain type 2 fun! We will get stuck, have to dig, winch, etc. and we will get out! The good and bad of snow wheeling is you can almost always dig your way out with enough work. If anyone gets stuck or breaks we are all in this to get them recovered and back on the way.
Good clothing, gloves, boots, sleeping bag(s) etc. I am often in the cold but rarely cold. Layers are essential, you can literally be in tee shirt in the sun one minute and wearing everything you have not long after.
A good tow strap (preferably dynamic but not essential) and shackles.

Things that are helpful but you don't need

A GMRS radio
A winch
Bead lock or bead grip rims
Traction boards
Lockers: Broncos sand mode works really well in the snow
Satellite communicator

One of my friends is coming out Sunday morning, if your interested in a day trip that works as well.
