Selling my wheels and tires on a 2024 WIldtrak. Asking $2200. They will have about 45 miles on them. Just enough to get from Provo to Tooele. I've got new boots ready for it when my Wildtrak arrives. Heard from dealer today that they expect it March 24th (week of).
Message me if interested!

Thinking about a trip out to 5 mile with the fam tomorrow (March 9th), not sure what trail or where I'm going to go, but was thinking about going and getting stuck somewhere 😆
Anyone interested?

Made it out to 5 Mile this weekend before the storm, and had my trailers maiden voyage.
Figured I would go practice using all my systems before prime season. 😁

Ready to start making longer trips out with a base camp!

Well, aren't you just fancy! Really, neat set up! I wish I had something like that, but for now, it's a tent for me and a husky to keep me warm at night! LOL :)

@ChrisD
Haha - hey, I love tent camping. I've done plenty of it, and it really lets you go ANYWHERE.

This will just be easier when I'm taking the toddlers and entire family out for extended trips.
The minivan actually has the same tow rating, so I'm going to get it a hitch/wiring, and probably use that huge 7 seater for trips to places with dedicated trailer spots.

The Bronco will definitely be our boondocker and off-grid warrior though!

Wanted to see if anyone would be interested in some Sasquatch takeoff coilovers. They are off a 2022 4d 2.3. They had about 9k miles on them. Also includes Fabtech 1.5” billet aluminum leveling spacers on the front. $300. I’m located in Eagle Mountain.

@Alex Sector I replaced them with basically the same thing. I was looking for a set of Eibach coils to put on my Sasquatch Bilstien shocks. I came across someone that was selling a set of Sasquatch Bilstien's with the Eibach coils already on them. I put them on and took this set off.

Looking for recomendations for shops in Utah County that have accessories for purchase in store - compressors, lighting, etc.

Anyone want to go up to five Mile pass tomorrow?

Should be nice up there, and hopefully not a lot of traffic on Monday.

Hi Utah Bronco owners - wondering if anyone has any recommendations for moderate trails in the St. George area? I'm very familiar with the area, I have done SxS riding in the sand-hollow dunes area and plenty of mountain biking, just not super familiar with the off-road scene. I picked up my Bronco last month, and will be in St. George in a couple weeks and want to get a better feel for my Badlands capabilities.

I'm not a newbie per se, but also definitely not an expert. I've got a compressor and basic recovery gear (shovel, kinetic recovery rope, soft shackles, but no winch), I will also be alone so don't want to get into anything too hairy. What is the fins n' things equivalent in St. George? I realize there isn't as much sandstone, but looking for something fun, that has low likelihood of getting in trouble. I love watching Matt's Recovery videos, but I'm not interested in being part of those videos :)

This week we have the Winter 4x4 Jamboree. https://winter4x4jamboree.com/ I recommend you to take the Toquerville Falls trail first. Then head over to Gunlock for the trails there. If you go on this site and look at the trails that will be ran you can see the trail rating. I have lived here for 6 years and haven't done them all. I own a SXS and my Badlands. Had a Rubicon before the Badlands. If you come down after, then hit me up and I will go with you!

@bjpatten Thanks. I'll be down there weekend of the 27th staying near sand hollow, I may just hit you up.
I won't have a ton of time but would love to do a couple hours in the sand hollow area on either friday (26th) or saturday morning. I did Toquerville to the falls a couple years ago in my Yukon, it's a fun trail, I was jealous of the jeeps I saw going beyond the falls continuing on that trail.

@bjpatten decided to just come down to the Jamboree - which has been awesome, thanks again for the tip. Ran West Rim today, doing Milt's Mile Lite tomorrow. Fun stuff, and nice to have a group with you to give support, spotting, and confidence to run those lines you might not try alone.

The most accurate maps for Sand Hollow are from CartoTracks - I helped with mapping/rating and still submit new ones. OnX is crowdsourced and the tracks are a mess. They ARE better than no tracks, but most people don't know the "official" lines for the trail ratings.

Sand Hollow is an awesome play area, from mild to wild, and plenty of bypasses or more challenging routes. I'm in the area, but am usually out in my rear steer comp rig running the 11-15 stuff :) You can access the trails FREE via the Water Tanks parking, and avoid the state park fee. Be sure you have your flag.

Sand Hollow Trails on FB frequently has groups of all levels posting meetup times.

Some of the Chinese manufacturers will take the Mabett or IAG stuff and sell it for super cheap on Amazon.
I picked up the Mabett lights for $80 on Amazon last week.
They're exactly the same with the same models and wiring harness. Not a bad pickup -

I'm about 90% positive that the Mabett and IAG stuff is made in China and these are the exact same products, just, well, you know, cutting out the middlemen...

@ChrisD they are, well, the IAG iLine is the same stuff as all the other China stuff. Sometimes you'll be able to find it with the stupid fake Amazon accounts with all caps names.
These were bought from "DOLSKN". 🤔
They've bounced in price like 5 times but are currently at $108.

Ended up at Five Mile today, just going solo with my son. It was a bit of a last minute thing though, as some previous plans got cancelled, freeing up my weekend. Had a ton of fun out there, and the snow made for some interesting moments. Made for a couple of slippery climbs in a few spots, but the Bronco handled it like a champ.

Honestly, sometimes I forget how close it is to home! Left my house around 10 AM, and was home by 4. And that included an hour or two of running some errands on the way home. I really need to get down there more often.

Hey, um, so, no notice or anything, but I'm figuring on going out to 5 mile for a few hours tomorrow just to feel how the new lift Garrett at Dirt Tires and Donuts Garage in Park City put on. Well, and just to relax a bit since I haven't left the pavement in forever. I will probably not roll out very early since I'm lazy, but if anyone wants to meet up, ping me.

Or if not, I'll post pix or something! Like I said, it's a no notice I got a bug kind of thing.

Has anyone from the group upgraded tie-rods? If so, did you install yourself or take it to a shop? I'm not sure if I want to do it based on reading comments in the forums.

IMO, doing it yourself is wise should you need to do it on the trail. Good experience. You'll need an alignment regardless.
ChrisD
ChrisD
I just carry an extra tie rod and some tools in case. I figure something has to be the weakest link and I prefer it to be something I can reach/repair on the trail should I need to rather than something that will end my day or require recovery.

Hey everyone...I upgraded my axles (ultimate D44 FDU and D60 rear end) and have the stock FDU and D44 rear for sale. Remember they come with lockers, the M220 FDU and 4.70 gears. My Badlands is a sasquatch. Someone will have to pick them up locally in Centerville...they are in crates. I don't get on here very often anymore but message me and I'll get an e-mail. Thanks! Eric

I'm not looking, but I'm curious what you're asking for them?
What made you decide to upgrade your axles and what did you end up spending if I can ask?

@TheKim $2,500 for both. I actually twisted one of the axle tubes on the D44 stock rear end so I figured I would upgrade.

BOAR off-road has a drive coming up on June 17th, at 9:30AM.
The meetup spot is 30 minutes west of Saratoga Springs.

Please register here if you are planning on attending, so they have an accurate count of possible vehicles!

https://www.boaroffroad.com/events/terra-nova-trail-ride

____________________________________________

About The Event

For this months trail ride we will be starting out in the Terra Utah area, and returning via dirt roads to either Faust or Vernon depending on time.

Join us as we check out an interesting loop near Terra, then backroads to the pony express trail, and depending on time either returning via pony express to Faust or an alternate route through the hills to Vernon.

This route is mild, but a couple sand dunes and steep loose dirt hill climb sections will require functional 4 wheel drive. Stock height vehicles will do fine, and anyone is welcome to join in.

We will be meeting at the dirt pullout where highway 199 intersects with highway 36 south of Stockton Utah. Here is a pin drop: https://goo.gl/maps/qQ5PxFZGqXxHA4Ck9

Time wise I would plan on 4-6 hours from when we leave the dirt parking lot to when we come out in Faust/Vernon, but you never really know.

There are a couple areas where brush/trees are close to the trail. This always presents the possibility of rocky mountain pinstriping so be aware.

See you there!

I spent the morning at not Outdoor Adventure X. There was a mishap, comedy of errors, etc., at the Ford dealership that left me with 3/4 of a lift kit, so I was in the lobby there while they removed the perch sleeve from the old blown out shock and put it on the new shock and then realigned the front end. In the end, all is well, but it just took some extra time...

I have taken mine off-roading at Sand Hollow on seven rated trails. Mine is a Badlands also but I have updated the tie-rods. Your Bronco is capable of some serious off-road. I did double Sammy there. Lots of thrashing the undercarriage. Just had to get another alignment when I was done. LOL
