The Ranger is a good looking truck but I hope the Bronco doesn't adopt the standard Ranger's grille though. Not a huge fan of the razor blade grille. Something like the Raptor grille would be nice :)
Couldn't agree more with the article. It's got a cult following for a reason even despite how long it's been out of production. Can't wait until 2020 and can't believe we're going to finally see new Broncos on the road (and off road)!
Good to hear, thanks for confirming. No way it wasn't going to have it though, seeing as how even the Ford Everest is BOF. Bronco hopefully will be more rugged with MUCH better design.
The raptor looking front end looks great no doubt but I'd rather the Bronco have a unique front end instead of sharing a front end with some other Ford truck. I don't want to see a Bronco in my rear view mirror and not realize it because I think it's a Raptor or F Series truck.
So I agree with...
Yea but Jeep can keep the unreliability ;) Really think that if Ford is going to jump back into this segment they won't hold back. They should know that anything but a true trail-ready off-road SUV that also has cool looks won't cut it against the 1000 pound gorilla that is Jeep in its segment.
Lots of calls for a removable top here and that's definitely a vital feature. If I had to guess that's one of the first features the designers and engineers will build in.
Ranger spinoff would be ok but like I said in another thread the 6th gen Bronco can't be some gigantic F-150 spinoff dressed up in some fancier trim. If they do this car again it better have the true utility chops to go toe to toe with the Wrangler, and some tough styling to match.
If Ford knows what's good for it they'll resurrect the Bronco. That the Jeep Wrangler has such a loyal following despite questionable reliability shows the Bronco should be able to get in on the action as long as it's well built, performs well (on and off-road) and looks the part of a true...
FJ looked like crap... like an oversized inflatable kids toy. And I don't know if it has to do with the brand but Ford and Jeep being American brands just have an easy time selling trucks and SUVs. They bolt any body to any of their truck frames and they just sell sell sell.
