  1. U.S. Army tests the Bronco at Fort Hood

damn its still using a manual transmission, suprised they didn't drop an auto in it, but I guess manuals are in more cars in the Far East?1
  2. U.S. Army tests the Bronco at Fort Hood

When I was going through mechanic school in the Army about 30 years ago, one of my civilian instructors claimed that the Gamma Goat was one of the first military vehicles designed by a woman...don't think that is true, but be was an older guy so misogynistic comments wouldn't have been out of...
  3. U.S. Army tests the Bronco at Fort Hood

    I don't know about that...a modified/updated M715 known as Kia/Hyundai K311 cargo truck is still in use today https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K311_cargo_truck
  4. Bronco EV reportedly on hold until early next decade (⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS)

Also in IMO if EVs can go about 250-300 miles per charge and you can easy recharge in 20 minutes or so, most arguments go out the window..yes it will take some changes in people's routine, but overall not that big of a deal
  5. Bronco EV reportedly on hold until early next decade (⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS)

Ford is planning low cost EV in a couple years that should be about $25K starting price about the size of the Maverick or Escape.

  7. Cheap interior, build quality for $70k

What is wrong with the Maverick? I've haven't heard anything outside of the fuel tank recall. Remember the Maverick is supposed to be cheap and shares its parts bin with other C platfform products like the Escape and Bronco Sport Its also been proven ad infimum that North American customers...
  8. Rivian shocks with R2, R3, R3X reveals! $45K starting price, 0-60 under 3 secs, 300+ miles range, NACS port

Average cost of a new car is like $48-50K right now. Small is hard to nail down-something around the size of the Escape or Bronco Sport would have no problems selling to the US market, that is what I consider "small". Something smaller than that would go over like a fart in church.
  9. Rivian shocks with R2, R3, R3X reveals! $45K starting price, 0-60 under 3 secs, 300+ miles range, NACS port

Completely different market at this time. Rivian also stopped production of its new factory in GA to give them more time to avoid going into BK. There been rumors they've been talking with Nissan about a merger or maybe sharing a product with them. The conversion to EVs is still happening...
  10. Worried about the Bronco Engines now….

Just keep in mind that the vast majority of post of almost anything on the internet/social media is negative in someway...how many times do you really see people happy with something post about it? Its about 1/10 of negative posts made about something.
  11. Bronco February 2024 Sales & Production: 8,186 Sold / 12,659 Produced

Where is your logic? Have you never considered that there are shipping delays, hold ups at the plant for parts, etc that would affect sales numbers to dealerships. So answer this one: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/bronco-october-2023-sales-production-4-805-sold-82-produced.83816/ How...
  12. Bronco February 2024 Sales & Production: 8,186 Sold / 12,659 Produced

What your getting hung up on is actually called a Dealer inventory turn rate-which how fast inventory they have the lots (that they BUY from Ford or who ever) sells. Just using EVs as an example-see this article...
  13. Bronco February 2024 Sales & Production: 8,186 Sold / 12,659 Produced

And you'd be completely wrong. Your still not getting it-its what Ford has SOLD to its dealer network. A car/truck/suv might sit on the dealer lot for less than a week or it might sit there for months on end.
  14. Bronco February 2024 Sales & Production: 8,186 Sold / 12,659 Produced

It’s pretty obvious that they don’t get that
  15. Bronco February 2024 Sales & Production: 8,186 Sold / 12,659 Produced

That is a pretty shitty comment to make when I provided a link to show that your wrong. Ford doesn't count it as a sale till its delivered to the dealership. like I said before Ford doesn't and can't sell directly to consumers due to franchise laws...so WHAT do you not get about that?

  17. Bronco February 2024 Sales & Production: 8,186 Sold / 12,659 Produced

Ford sells product to the dealership, not directly to consumers. The difference in numbers is due to production and shipping issues.
  18. Bronco February 2024 Sales & Production: 8,186 Sold / 12,659 Produced

Exactly correct-they are counted as sold once they dealership gets them.
  19. Bronco February 2024 Sales & Production: 8,186 Sold / 12,659 Produced

In all seriousness, why are you talking about people who where hired 50+ years ago? The automotive industry has changed quite a bit in that time. As for deliveries from Ford- I got my 2006 Mustang GT (more or less same popularity as the Bronco had a few years back) in roughly 3 months and I...
  20. Bronco EV reportedly on hold until early next decade (⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS)

Make of it what you want, but https://blog.evbox.com/fast-charging-battery https://thenextweb.com/news/is-fast-charging-bad-ev-battery-degradation Also keep in mind batteries are overbuilt to a point to account for cell failure over their lifetime.
