Right-hand-drive markets won’t get any Broncos
If you're driving on the 'wrong' side of the road, you'll have to make do with a Ranger, or Ranger Raptor at best
Ford Bronco {thread} {filename}

The much-anticipated reborn Ford Bronco and its “baby Bronco” sibling will not be heading to any countries where they drive on the wrong side – well, the left side – of the road, Ford Australia reps told Aussie website Carsales.

“There’s nothing to announce. There are currently no plans in place for right-hand drive Bronco,” Ford Australia boss Kay Hart told the outlet.

“Clearly it’s going to be a great vehicle, but we are extremely happy with the performance of Ranger here.”

This contradicts earlier statements from Ford, which posited the vehicle would be part of a “global Ford vehicle portfolio in 2020.”

For markets such as the U.K. or Japan, the exclusion of the large SUV is no big deal, but in a place like Australia where the landscape is mostly outback, the Bronco would be right at home.

Hart went on to say the Ranger “is doing such a fantastic job here,” and that it “really fills that space for us in Australia.”

The Australian market is also quite different from North American or even European markets. Ford’s lineup there still includes most of the brand’s cars; and the Ranger Raptor, which we are super-jealous about.
