It doesn't. It worries me when people talk about keeping the window up without anything like a bungee to restrict movement. Seems like the window could slam on the upstroke and break. Even on the larger things like potholes, with the rubber strap, the bounce is only a few inches.
I've done this a few times lately when the weather is warm but I don't have time to take off the hard top. I open all the windows to address any possible issues with exhaust circling back into the cab. I figure the hard rubber bungees are better than any hard fixed apparatus that could be too...
Mine started at 8am, but there was another wave at 9am. The trail fun was over at 5pm, when I left. But I could have stayed for dinner until about 6pm.
Do they say exactly where it is? I know they tried to lease a parcel in Walland over the winter but the neighbors didn't want it and caused a stink. Seems still in Blount County, though.
Has anyone else noticed that they get worse MPG on the interstate? I drive 30 minutes a day on a state highway going 60mph. If I do a trip a few hours away running mostly interstate, I calculate 1.5-2 MPG lower.
I've got the top dash at the upholsterer now getting black MGV. It's the thin lower piece, a piece to the left of the steering wheel, and the left and right grab handles that I need to paint.
I am interested in changing the color of the top dash pad. I have a 22 OBX and simple black would look better than the blue. Would painting be the way to go, or a vinyl wrap? Is this DIY, or get a body shop involved? Has anyone done this that can offer advice?
