There is a setting in Forscan that lowers the blinker sound from ridiculous down to loud. Worked on my 22 BL. At least people on the other end of the phone can hear me over the turn signal now.
Love that drive on a nice day. If you're into rock hounding, detour up Walker Gulch and check out the large quartz boulders in the wash. My bronco always seems to come home a couple of hundred lbs heavier. The wife's addiction is bad!
My oil regularly hits the low 250s mark climbing the last 10-ish miles to Payson (7% grade, 65+ mph). I do pull it down to 7th for that climb, but boost is still running 10+ psi at 3k+ rpm to lug the heavy brick up that hill. My old 6.7 super duty would also get really hot up that climb when I...
Grew up in the boonies. Dad always had a camper to sneak off on a fishing trip every couple of months. I joined boy scouts and got really into camping and hiking. Of course, this leads to offroading.
As a kid, I would ride my Honda ATC (yes, the 3 wheeler) all over the desert with my...
D load. Way better than the factory GYs. Might as well have been driving with 4 rolls of Charmin on the wheels for as durable as they were. I swapped around 35k miles as I was tired of slicing them with only ~18PSI on what are more or less rough passenger car roads here in AZ.
ZRoadz sliders - really quited down that noisy chatter from the short legged wife!
Armrest pad. Hard surface is uncomfortable on my elbow. On my 2nd one, but well with the $20 every couple of years.
Mesh top - follically challenged at my age, so it's nice to not have my head looking like a...
Saw a couple of places here in Chennai (exact opposite side of the rock from Phoenix) that would be wheelable. Problem is you'd need to drive on-road to get to them - something I'd never do here in India!
I talk to the wife and kid every day, so mostly missing the Bronco!
Got just over 18 last weekend going down to Tucson and then Bisbee the following day - I was ecstatic! Took the back way where speed limits are 65 or less. Anything above 75 with squatch starts to really reduce mileage.
Probably due to the refrigerator-like aerodynamics of the rig. I'm...
Mostly hair. Oh wait, that's my daughter's fault over the years - Never mind!
I've only lost little bits of paper, usually a receipt that I stuffed in the cup holder or cubby in front of it.
Speaking of hair, never, ever put a lab in the back of the bronco with the doors off and/or the top...
I've also done that twice. Once you start, you have to keep going. In my garage, it's quite the puzzle to get the top back up again.
That reminds me - need to touch up paint the bottom of the middle garage arch!
I have a long and checkered history with pony walls. We drove to Oregon on vacation a couple of years back. Stopped at a really nice view spot about 10 mins from where we were staying. Got in, put it in Drive, hit the gas, and BAM - pony wall!
Had the capable bumper, which got pushed back...
I have them pointed down as low as they will go. The holes in the Westin bumper are a bit tight - even for the lights they sell. I'm thinking amber film is my best bet in this case.
Sounds like your battery is long in the tooth. I was pegged above 15 for several months on mine. I really didn't even notice it until my ASS quit working after A/C season (8 months here!) and then got deep sleep warnings a week into a work trip to India.
Bought a replacement at Costco for...
+1 on the Milwaukee M18. Recently added a quick connector to the end of the hose. Takes less than 20 minutes from grabbing the bag to putting it away and inflating 35's from around 18-35PSI.
Also handy around the house for the wife's car and my Dolly, which hasn't held air in the tires for...
