Honestly, about as hard as Dome Plateau. There’s more crawling on Sevenmile but nothing more difficult than Dome. I even saw some dudes doing it in a pickup!
LOL - one other thing - the Jeepers like to give us a little good natured flak from time to time. I wound up with a TJ and a JL following me around and gave them a little ribbing back. :)
The TJ was a super nice couple from Minnesota and the JL was a guy from Kansas. We all had fun!
From what you're saying, you're out in the Cisco/Moab area already. I spent the last weekend on Dome Plateau and Sevenmile Rim. I had it disconnected the whole time. There are just a few places up there where you're likely to get over 20 mph in any event unless you have a stronger bladder...
Long post, I won't be offended if you don't read it.
Honestly, people get really emotional about things sometimes.
I started offroading as a kid in about 1974 or 5 in my uncle's Plymouth Trail Duster. My dad had a Bronco back in 1969 but he sold it when my mom was pregnant with me. Even...
You make a good point here - people change out the upper control arms for a taller lift, change out a bunch of other parts, but complain about the tie rod ends. Mine has been fine and I carry a spare just in case, but it's still in the plastic wrap! My opinion has always been the tie rod end...
No idea, actually. I wasn't driving it, I was about 2 vehicles back but I had no problem there. Could have already been weakened by something else and it was just time to go, maybe it was a bad one, or maybe they did the funny on the ledge. Can't really comment, just that I saw it, but like I...
Yeah, climbing up on that ledge you see in the foreground, but I think the front locker was disengaged from the conversation. Anyway, it happened, now, it's never happened to me, but I carry a spare tie rod just in case. It's cheap insurance.
Honestly, I doubt Ford would have released the...
Stock Wildtrak, Labor Day, 2022, Top of the World trail in Moab. Not mine, but I was there. Fortunately, about three of us had spare tie rods in our kit, so we repaired on the trail and continued on.
He was chilling at the Salt Lake County Shelter and decided he wanted to come home with me. He has the best personality. He's super sweet and loves all the dogs except one. He doesn't like that one at all and I'm not sure what it did to him. Haha!
This weirdo rides in the back with me a lot. He's pretty cool with it but he did get a little agitated at Easter Egg Hill on Flat Iron Mesa once and climbed up on my back. I told him to get lost.
I've been driving this set up for almost 5 years. It's fine, I've done everything from highway trips to Texas from Utah to rock crawling in Moab. Regearing would be a waste of money with 35s.
Also, don't let anyone tell you what transmission is right for you. I've driven almost everything...
