M2DZ wait too long - I used ML3Z and did a pop and swap with the mirror lights and the tank opener switch. Reprogrammed on ForScan and all works perfect.

Thanks for the info and comparison. I decided to replace my plastic rear bumper with an OEM steel rear bumper. Didn't really want to shell out $1000-1500 for the aftermarket rear bumpers (most of which also require license plate relocation, which I don't wanna do). Found a used OEM rear bumper...

Nope - no problem - just pull a few bungees to reach and close/open hardtop latches (esp middle latch between row 1 & 2)

Yep same plan - using marine EVA flooring material (like SeaDek)

I have mine installed permanently under the hard-top no problems - easy to pop a few bungees to reach latches.

I worked it out to leave the whole mesh on under the hardtop - just have to undo a few bungees to reach under to the latches and take top panels off. Very convenient/cool to leave it on under MIC.

Love these Gearshades - really well made and easy to install. I even found a way to keep it on under my MIC hardtop. Easy to undo bungees and reach under to undo hardtop latches. Very solid on an open air drive - doesn't flutter. Overall very pleased (got the same blue color).

I pulled the 3A fuse and all 4 terminals remain hot - so that fuse does not control the 4 posts. I noticed that there is a small wire leaving from below the fuse area - didn't test it because it's all wrapped but I'm pretty sure that's the line the fuse is connected. Probably some...

Ran this tire size change and PCM and AWD reset/relearn and it worked perfected - service wrench DTC gone - all humming smoothly - in fact I feel like the shifting got smoother with the relearn (maybe just my imagination) - Thanks for taking the time to post and teach a novice Forscanner.

Interesting - I checked them out - they are Escape / Explorer switches - look the same except for the gas tank lid switch where I have puddle lights. Not sure if I can swap - but good backup plan in case I can't get the other parts - thanks.
