  1. The best trim for a new buyer

I think you're mistaken. BD is 4,495, SAS is 4,180 for a total of 8,675. Ford's really gouging people with the BD and SAS packages. Basequatch or Badlands are really the only options imo if you are looking for capability.
  2. The best trim for a new buyer

I don't see HOSS 2.0 as an option on the Big Bend, and it doesn't come with Black Diamond package. If I am missing something, please educate me. I believe you'd have to take the SAS package for 4,180. that lists the bilsteins, but doesn't specifically say HOSS 2.0, nor does it mention...
  3. The best trim for a new buyer

I think it gives you lease numbers to trick you into thinking its more affordable than it really is
  4. The best trim for a new buyer

The problem comes in when you compare a low end badlands to the BD, the price difference isn't significant at all, but the equipment delta is significant. The only options I picked for the BB were BD and Auto, for the BL only the auto. The other options are baseline. 3k on the BL gets you...
  5. Went with the polished look for wheels.

OP, that's a classic look that is never wrong.
  6. Advice Needed on Bronco Purchase: Badlands 7MT or Stroppe 2.7L?

As someone who has, and loves a 7MT, I think that if you are not married to the idea of a manual, just get the auto.
  7. To keep or not keep is the question. (decal)

It was pretty easy to get my Big Bend stickers off. I used a heat gun though I am not certain I needed it
  8. The best trim for a new buyer

This. I have over 230k on my 08 Mustang, and it's still running well. I just got it back from the shop for it's first truly major work (found some timing components in my oil pan). The Ford I owned before it had 140k on it when I gave it to my sister who still has it. My uncle's a farmer and...
  9. The best trim for a new buyer

This right here. I think for what the OP has posted, Big Bend with mid package is the answer. It's pretty street oriented, and capable enough to get to most of the places overlanders are going to go. It's on 32s, which don't look as undersized as what comes on the base, and gives a bit of...
  10. Help repeal the roadless rule in national forrest.

The biggest indicator that I should have something is when the govt tells me I do not need/should not have it.
  11. Tennesee Wheeling?

As Washington State ex-pat living in Virginia, prepare for disappointment when it comes to dispersed camping. There's not a lot of public land here like you're used to. While you'll find some, it's nothing like it is back home.
  12. M ?

If you still have time remaining, I'd recommend getting to the Offroadeo. They'll explain how a lot of the features work.
  13. Can I get owner insight/advice?

I have a 24 Big Bend with the mid package. Base/Big Bend are really all the Bronco most folks need. I know some folks are going to disagree with me here, but, you really don't need lifts and 37s to take the kids to soccer practice or pick up groceries. You certainly don't need swaybar...
  14. Base bronco 2dr tire upgrade suggestions

Thanks. I feel like for my 4.46 gears, the 33s are probably the right size for my needs. The stockers are 32s so not much difference really. I plan for a light load range, I don't need a heavy, durable offroad oriented tire, just something slightly more aggressive, and a bit better in snowy...
  15. Base bronco 2dr tire upgrade suggestions

Confidence. I take my BB on fireroads and occassionally have hit some ruts that made me desire more traction. I got past them with my Duelers, but I'd prefer a bit more. Eventually, I plan on some Firestone destinations or general grabbers in 285/70/r17.
