Yep! The heads aren't very deep so I use a torque wrench and take my time but have still lost probably 2 or 3 during my stainless to painted beauty ring swap.
Its between the clamp and pin for the Driver's roof panel above the Driver side visor. Hangs down in the one section that doesn't have hangy-downy bits yet, but that's my 6'10" opinion on visibility.
Yea, "Beauty Rings". I've seen it claimed that they don't need to come off to install/uninstall tires, but both shops I've been to declined to work on them without taking the beauty rings off first. (CA)
I have a different brand, but similar enough construction I suppose - I store mine right in the garage, just pull the front end over the wheels and raise it high enough to not hit my hood. If I was storing outside though I'd go with cheap plastic liner or something like painter's protection.
I'll second this one. Radio is almost completely undetectable when the handset is disconnected, positioning is solid...the only difference is I hardwired mine without using the upfitter switch.
