Ford puts a dummy plate where the hitch goes. You have to drop the bumper to unscrew the bolts holding it up, and then replace with the hitch. Also, the wires will be there for you. If you want the computer functionality, you have to also get the module, that goes inside the cargo area behind...

This came up years ago, I believe it was confirmed to be used during manufacturing. And just for reference, it's a QR code, bar codes are the black stripes.

Finally got rid of those not so good looking stickers. Sorry, but I never warmed up the refrigerator badges. And Bronco Script installed... Moved it the inside tailgate, and under the hood... no idea why.
