What about loosening the bolt under the step boards and adjust it forward a bit. They may be mounted too far towards the rear wheel.

Just paint the pinch weld area. Cheap to do for a easy fix maybe use a black undercoat spray or brush on. That should be very durable

I finally received my hardtop lift. Spent a couple hrs today assembling it. Looks to be well built. I like the fact that it will fold up for storage. Can’t wait to actually pull the top off on a nice day this fall😎
