My experience is that it's no different than glass. It is a bit easier if it has been coated with RainX.

I haven't had any issues getting cleaned off the windshield film on mine.

Hand Wash Only RainX is supposed to haze when it sets and dries. You then are supposed to wipe the haze off with a clean towel. As the directions state, a clean, DAMP towel makes it easier to get the haze off.
