In order to access the rear speaker and amp you need to remove all the plastic. At that point adding sound deadening is very low effort, even if it does absolutely nothing. I used Kilmat, which is more reasonably priced

Yes I saw this video but it is a very atypical experience. His upgrade worked without an APIM swap. From what I have been able to gather this only works if you use CarPlay, which is more graceful about resolution rescaling.
