  1. Does anyone have an auto stop eliminator on their Bronco?

Ditto, mine sits sometimes for 2 to 3 days and I wold be getting the ā€œsome systems have been shut down to save batteryā€ via my Ford app. All good since I installed the maintainer. I do understand the BCM trying to stretch battery life (similar to my Iphone)…but getting low battery earnings...
  2. Does anyone have an auto stop eliminator on their Bronco?

Get it in b4 your warranty expires. Used to be you could get (on average) 5 years with a battery, but now it seems more like 3 yrs. Because of my Raptor battery failure at 3 yrs. I run a 5amp maintainer on my Bronco. After disconnecting/ fully charged, I drive a 30 mile trip with seat heater...
  3. Auto Start-Stop Rarely Works

Could be that your battery is starting to go bad. ASS stopped working on my Raptor several months before my battery went bad. New battery installed and ASS was working again.
  4. Road trip - Sacramento CA to Killeen TX - 3 days each way

Great trip and happy you were able to see your dad. All my elders have passed now and I was very lucky to have been close with all of them. Thanks for sharing your tripšŸ‘
  5. Does anyone have an auto stop eliminator on their Bronco?

As far as why I don’t like ASS, it’s annoying and, (while I have no proof whatsoever), I suspect it can’t be good for red hot (oil/water cooled) turbos to abruptly stop spinning with no circulation at every light. Manufacturers are bound by ever stricter CAFE regs. and will do just about...
  6. Does anyone have an auto stop eliminator on their Bronco?

Your battery charge may be too low to support ASS. ASS is disabled when state of charge is not high enough. My Raptor ASS stopoed working about 6mos before the battery finally failed. Near the end of it’s life I was getting all kinds of warning lights, be driving and ā€œKey Not Detected ā€œ would...
  7. Does anyone have an auto stop eliminator on their Bronco?

Was going to go this route as well, but <finally> trained myself to press start button and ASS disconnect button as my start-up sequence.
  8. Lug Nut Question

Did the same - wanted single piece black lugs, recently bought a set from Extreme Terrain.
  9. Trans Taiga Road Trip Documentary: A Journey to the End of North America's Most Remote Road

Beautiful journey thank you for sharing. Really enjoyed the minimalist narration - let the landscape speak for itselfšŸ‘
  10. Bronco notches best 3rd quarter ever with 37,858 sales

A bit off topic, but I’m very happy I ordered my 23 OBX LUX in VB with 2.7L, Advanced 4x4 & electronic rear locker. Gave me 4.27 diff gears, a bit more aggressive x-fer case gearing, & 4A mode. Can’t get VB paint, ADV 4x4 & rear locker w/o SAS package now (OBX). I had Bilstein 6112 coilovers...
  11. Scratched left rear fender flare - best replacement options?

Easily removable for repair yourself. Touch up Direct can mix the exact color and send you a kit with primer, color & clear coat. Remove your flare, wet sand and paint. You’ve got nothing to lose since it’s already damaged. Good luckšŸ‘
  12. Maeby & Daddy seek out the Area 51 secret UFO base

Wow, thanks for the heads up. Pretty sure you’re referring to Bishop Rd. a couple of miles south of Casmalia? I ride my m-cycle up there on occasion. Generally I stop in the turn-around area right b4 the gate.
  13. It finally happened! Windshield chip

LOL, go big or go home! That’s one mean looking chip, sorry to see that. My 1st was at 5 mos. and only consolation is I don’t have to worry about windshield chips anymore. Iā€˜ll let several others accrue before replacing the windshield, since we all know what happens with a brand new windshield…
  14. Just came in

    Nice looking rig, congrats!
