  2. New recall (26V236)? POSSIBLE THAT THE TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SPLINES OR TRANSFER CASE INPUT SHAFT SPLINES HAVE BECOME WORN OR DAMAGED

thx for confirming and being the voice of reason @Ducati1098 - if I'm being honest I knew that already but I was hoping for something more. My head has not forgotten the repair for the synchro grinding issue and my trans had to be pulled out after the repair as it was not properly...
  3. New recall (26V236)? POSSIBLE THAT THE TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SPLINES OR TRANSFER CASE INPUT SHAFT SPLINES HAVE BECOME WORN OR DAMAGED

truck passed the inspection yesterday - I asked what they looked for and the tech said gaps on the mating surfaces and loose bolts. That part makes sense, but I do wonder is assuming no excessive wear on the splines a solid way to detect this, just by a visual inspection looking for gaps? I...

  9. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

from the pictures posted it appears the wire concern is closer towards the firewall. Any speculation/confirmation there are issues around the air filter box? Curious about those with aftermarket intakes, some are harder to remove than others and some dealers may not remove non factory parts.
  10. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

to be fair.....Ford is deserving of the bad press. They had triple the recalls compared to the next OEM in 25 and lead the pack again this year.
  11. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

Ford really needs to do some serious lessons learned groups during these painful high recall years. Only thing worse than fucking up is not learning from said fuck up
