  1. Fire Protection: Extinguishers: Dry, Halotron, CO2, Element Stick, Blankets, etc... what are you carrying?

Keep in mind that you're more likely to be putting out a brush fire or grass fire than an engine bay fire. E.g. grass/brush getting caught under skid plates and then catching on fire. For that reason, I carry a standard dry chemical ABC class fire extinguisher instead of something specialized...
  2. Will the Factory Jack handle the Sasquatch Package? What Jack options do people have?

I disagree on the "completely level" part. It's not as stable as something with a wider base, but it's stable enough for most spots you can limp to to change a tire. Sure, it's not going to work on the rocks, but neither will a bottle jack with a wider base. It really doesn't need to be dead...
  3. Will the Factory Jack handle the Sasquatch Package? What Jack options do people have?

Just in case it helps to show how the extension is used and that the factory jack will work for 35's, here's a picture from a few months back where I had to change a tire on mine: And the factory jack is actually hard to beat unless you're running exceptionally large tires. No leaks to worry...
  4. Bronco vs civic

So, a few months ago, my wife was driving home from work in our bronco. The road curves to the left. The car in the lane beside her didn't. Swideswiped the bronco pretty good. The other car's driver tried to claim my wife was "turning left from the middle lane". (nevermind that she drives that...
  5. Trail Map Survey

Don't forget TrailsOffroad if you want good trail reviews. That one is best in conjunction with an additional app for detailed planning, but the highly curated trail reviews make it well worth it. Fewer trails, but actually correct details and consistent-ish ratings. I actually have all three...
  6. E load vs C load tires - what's your pick?

E-load here. I'm relatively light and don't tow. But I spend a lot of time in the desert and around old mining infrastructure. I've never ran E rated tires before the bronco, but I wasn't around quite as many sharp rocks as before. I'm not sure if I regret it or not, but I got tired of flats...
  7. What's the Biggest Lesson You've Learned Off-Roading?

Seriously. Folks don't pay enough attention to this one. You don't just air down for comfort and traction. It's also to preserve the trail. A few years ago I was out on a trail a bit early. I avoid mud season/snowmelt to avoid tearing things up. It was dry down low and I thought things would be...
  8. OEM+ 22 Badlands 2 Door Build

I'm usually not a fan of the painted tops, but that color combination looks really sharp! Everglade wheels look pretty sharp, too.
  9. Wolfbox HyperFlow X 12V Twin Motor On-Board Air Compressor install

Nice setup, and it's good to see more options in this space! It's interesting (and good) to see them call out a 100% duty cycle on it, unlike most of the cheaper options. They do claim it will handle high heat environments. Where you have it mounted will completely avoid that issue, but that...
  10. Ford Performance Winch Kit

The winch alone is close to that. It's a good deal i.m.o. The modifications for the capable bumper weren't bad I.m.o., though it will require grinding/cutting a tiny bit.
  11. Ford Performance Winch with Sensors (ACC, Camera, and Parking) Works Fine; Parts List and Photos

Now that I'm taking pictures of it, I didn't actually do that good of a job of keeping them high... I should probably put an extra zip tie on to hold them higher. But either way, this hasn't caused problems, fwiw. In this location, they're using the official / pre-drilled holes + clips. (On the...
  12. Ford Performance Winch with Sensors (ACC, Camera, and Parking) Works Fine; Parts List and Photos

Just to chime in with one more: I have the ford performance mount and adaptive cruise control + parking sensors. I've never had any issues with the winch interfering with the adaptive cruise control. I was careful to zip tie wires high, but it's been a non-issue. The winch plate is not easy to...
  13. DIY rear seat delete shelf solution for our dog

If anyone's curious how this has held up, last weekend I finally had to replace the plastic clips that go around the vertical posts to hold the shelf up. They do wear out from bouncing around. But 2 years is a long enough duration for me, and I have extras around regardless.
  14. 2-door non-Sasquatch Black Diamond, dune-only use, what should I prioritize for a smoother ride and less risk of damage?

Honestly, you're going to be hard-pressed to find upgraded shock options that are still stock height for your vehicle. Most are going to assume "stock height" means relative to sasquatch or non-sasquatch badlands. I'm not sure you'll be able to find off-the-shelf larger diameter shock body...
  15. 2 Door roof rack (clamshell only) recommendation

Yeah, the 4-door hardtop has a second slot like the back 2-door slot where the front metal clamps go. So the foam position is different for it. The 2-door only has a slot in the back, so the front clamp has to be a bit different.
