Underpowered? They put it in crew cab F150's and they haul a$$ for a full size truck. A V8 would be nice, but in no way is the 2.7 underpowered.

While it's not a massive difference, the RPM's that both the 2.7 and 3.5 make that power are vastly lower. You have to floor it in the 5.0 to get that power. In the F150 The 2.7 makes less horsepower, but makes the same 400 ft/lb torque at 2,750 rpm wheras the 5.0 does it at 4500 rpm. The 2.7 is also 1 full second quicker 0-60. I've driven them all extensively. (I own the 3.5 EB too). The 2.7 drives better, accelerates better, and gets better...
