I turned mine into a Raptor! Best way to make 3 active recalls go away!

I did get emotional after I sealed the deal. After 4 years and 60k miles I will miss her. But holy crap not when I’m driving! I hope the next owner has as much fun as I did 😀.
Did you crawl under mine? 😂. My reservoirs are currently zip tied to the shock, they look pretty rough. My fancy Ford diff cover’s Chineseum bolts look like they came off the titanic. I think Knoxville salted every time the temp dropped below 40 this year, the rat bastards. I have pulled...
Does your bronco contain ferrous metals? (Spoiler alert, it does!)
Check out fluid film options (Eastwood, Summit Racing, etc) or undercoating if you're really worried about it. Pull the wheels and apply anti sieze to any disimilar metal mating surfaces. Plan on early exhaust replacement...
Whaterver you pick, run the VIN to check for recalls.
Given a choice obviously pick more recent model year. WIth the newly announced "employee pricing" don't forget to check new models or unsold 24's on the lot. Can probably negotiate at this point.
Where you getting a code or having acceleration/missing issues? Mine all puked at 40K ruunning cheap gas, no mods. Started hesitating on hills and acceleration, then started throwing codes.
Changed them in 20 minutes, it really is pretty simple. I do run the best gas I can find now, and...
I also have the ford mat with cargo blocks in right now. It keeps the “look at me wrong and i scratch forever” plastic safe but i dislike how it collects debris and is hard to vacuum clean. gonna try the 3w option.
I had the Mabett cargo area mat with rear seat covers for roughly 3 years, have basically trashed it now. The glue holding the velcro consistently failed on the seat back covers, so it started to curl and peal up wonky. The floor pan started to also curl up and fit really poorly. Not trash...
The Rolling Rocks can be added if you upgrade to the FORD+ App, for only $8.99 per week. It includes a constant WNBA score and highlights feed, weather for Dearborn MI, and a live feed of Jim Farley's pool cam. Upgrade today!
I went with JCR based on price vs FORD, quality vs anything rough c*ntry has ever produced, and the hidden hardware. They use actual steel vs. Chineseum as well. Zero rattles, excellent adjustability. As for "why even bother" they do keep things inside the rig when riding around vs. doorless...
Agreed 4A is handy. But when you find an empty parking lot fully covered in snow and ice try “Fun” mode.
Baja on the goat dial
4L
Both lockers on
Press and hold traction control for 5 seconds to turn off Stability nannies
Maximum turn lock
Hammer down
Enjoy, and watch out for those pesky...
I'm up to 48K on mine. Have changed plugs due to fouling and misfire codes. I also only buy premium gas now. The price difference evaporates when you have to have your rig towed to the dealer and lose it for 2 days because the plugs are cooked. It was an easy job to do myself, I'll check...
Same experince for me with 2 different F-150's. @Mike777 did you end up with this kit? Thoughts?
Mine has just started the expected "Stock Ford rotor judder" at 45K and I will be going aftermarket when its time.
Thanks @CarbonSteel for compiling the info and parts list. You made this very easy. I did mine at 44k. Had a small olive sized glob of paste attached to the rear diff mag, but fluid wasn’t what I’d consider bad. Front diff had a slight smear on the mag. Only took 1 qt in the front, I guess...
