My Audi had a filter like that, it works as long as it is cleaned and oiled; If driven before the oil dries then it can clog up the MAF sensor… ask me how I know… Not sure if the Bronco would have the same liability.

It may just be the slight difference in angle. Only way to be sure would be to get a tape measure and measure the overall width, and confirm tire pressure is the same.

I plan to get one for my 2.3L. At the very least it can't do any harm (as long as it is emptied regularly) and it may improve longevity of the engine. I hope to keep my new Bronco until the wheels fall off.

My window sticker showed up about 7 days before the scheduled build week.

How many times did you check you were in ‘R’ when you got back in ?

It seems completely random, my original drive date was September, then October, then November, and back to October. I may be getting a Bronco with a flux capacitor.

Funny thing; When I went to the ford website and manually entered my order number and VIN it said they were not recognized. I went back to my original email and clicked the Track Order instead and then it showed up.

Order date was 06/09, yours was a few days earlier if I recall. I did not get an email with the Sticker, had to click the link on the website to see it. My drive date is still showing October

I just checked mine and now I have a window sticker, showing a Blend Date of 08/19 Number 2233 of 2800

Are any of the strips attached to the filter or are they free ? If they are all attached then that’s a good thing.

It looks like an oil filter defect; I would recommend taking it to the dealer, have them take photos of it to send to Ford. Get them to send you an email with those photos, now you have proof they’ve been notified in case anything bad happens later. I don’t think Ford makes their own filters...
